I believe it may have been Mickey Mantle who once hit what was going to be a home run, but the ball hit and killed an unlucky hawk. The ball was caught and Mantle was out by the rules of the game. (Or did I make it all up?)

If Peter is willing to score it as a birdie, take it.

When I was learning golf, I had a habit of topping the ball all the time. So one time, I put the ball on the tee as high up as it would go without falling over. Needless to say, that particular time I did the perfect swing, so the ball went straight up. I was looking down the course to see where it might have gone when it landed 6 inches in front of me. I couldn’t do it again if I tried.

Never saw a ball hit off a tee go up at that much of an angle. Anyway, comics.
