It also has a review of the technical definitions of the term BS, which, it seems, has its own literature in some areas of academia…no surprise there…

No. The developers just don’t care. As long as everybody has declared them the new wave of geniuses and jams their products into everything with a CPU, it’s all good. I am not looking forward to the next few years of operating system and other software upgrades. I may have reached my technological EOL.
