Has anyone seen seats like that in a movie theater that’s zero inches from reality?

Having wi-fi and chargers would be a peculiar way to discourage phone use in the theater.

If people want to spend time on their phones, why spend money on a movie? Just watch one on your phone and don’t bother anyone with your conversation…

Today’s mega theater complex’s seats do feature many of the amenities Pete mentioned. However, as a community-based “classic” movie house, do Mindy and Pete want these kinds of seats? Can they even afford them?

As nice as the new theater seats are, they lack the charm or the theater experience. After paying today’s theater prices who wants to fall asleep during the movie.

I’m not sure it would be worth the expense.

I’m surprised these seats don’t have places to connect laptop computers and charge stations just in case your cell phone is dead. It’s an idea for the future to cinemas everywhere!

It definitely makes sense that every chair had it’s own wifi hotspot. As opposed to, oh, I don’t know. The theater providing one wifi? Not very cost efficient but what do I know?

The last movie I saw in a theater was The Last Jedi. People are rude, tickets and popcorn are expensive, and the stupid 3D fad won’t go away.

I still think about the theater in NC that we used to go to more than55 years ago. Rocking chairs!Ash trays because smoking was allowed in the smoking section.

Never mind the armrest amenities—the really up-to-date theaters let you order pizza, delivered right to your seat! Of course, to get Montoni’s delivered to the Valentine, you’d have to order two hours before the movie starts… unless… TimeMop®, the Rather Elegant Solution™, to the rescue!

I was once in a big theatre where the seats MOVED along with the action scenes on the screen. Never again. I felt like I was on the TITANIC
