“W” is my first initial, so I have some personal stake in the game, and I’ve always been a bit annoyed that of all the letters of the alphabet, “W” is the only one that doesn’t really have its own name. “U” has a name, but poor W is simply a “Double U”, with no other real identity. I have learned to accept this and live with it as an adult, but as a child I often thought that this was quite unfair!
