All hail the Existential Swiftie! She’s fighting them with sound, and a much better one than many of the suggestions I had. Though I still say she should leave them with Baby Shark, but have Destry play it on a timer. Just enough time to get away!

And get a load of those devious lil fangs in panel three!

had to look up the lyrics as i wouldn’t know a Swift song if i heard it. yeah, i’m older and out of touch. i think i stopped listening after Aerosmith’s Pump album.

I love the way her trash bag cape poofs and swirls around her. Almost looks like she is standing in a cloud covering the highest peak in the tidy house.

I think AC/DC “Thunderstruck” or “Back in Black” would be my goto song!

I almost read Destry as destroy. That seems fitting, too.

I would have chosen Ride of The Valkyries. With helicopter backing.

I was hearing and picturing- Katy Perry’s, Fireworks, with glitter bombs going off! Also, Taylor Swift has three cats! Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button!

The Violent Femmes at full volume would be a good option – loud, slightly off key, a glorious cacophony that anyone can sing along to and sound okay.

I had a history professor many years ago. One day he told us about a time he was getting a lesson ready for the next day. But those in the next room were playing their music really loud. When he asked them to just turn it down they told him to bug off. So he went back to his room ant put his “music” on louder. His "music " was cannon fire.

If Sofie had Destry do that those Tidy people would think they were under attack.

I just listened to my first Taylor Swift song. It was a good song, and she has a good voice. But music is generational. When you hear Bohemian Rapsody, your mind is half on the music; the other half has transported you to Jeff R’s house and the pool party where you and your buds sang along to the chorus in 1975. Or the first few notes of Baba O’Riley on Who’s Next, and you’re screaming the lyrics with Pete Townshend and playing air guitar.

Sophie, you did it! The perfect distraction! And with such style and artistry.

Wow. An open floor plan looks great in pretty magazines, but they have no acoustic privacy. I remember reading about style conscious elites who spent $$$ renovating their homes into open floor plans, which looked beautiful BUT then the pandemic hit, and then these people had to work from home. Between distance learning for the kids, and adults trying to have zoom conferences, it was acoustic chaos.

Heck yess! This one or “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” or “Look What You Made Me Do” is perfect for the situation. And her (I assume) white trash bag is referencing Taylor’s Eras tour dress for the Tortured Poet’s set. Never stop making Taylor references when you’re inspired to, Georgia! It’s so much fun! :)

Go, Sophie. Mess up their clean counter. Have Destry play Eve of Destruction at full blast. Show that woman that you are not “sweet” unless you are in your own home!

Sophie surveying that dazzlingly plain space and asking Destry for a favorite tune just says “Artist just beginning to get down to work” to me. I’m wondering what other plans she has for that huge blank canvas before her. Create, girl, create!

Her look of wicked determination in p3 and then her joyous singing in p4 are excellent! I love the little broken hearts on the staff, as well.Even though I was very disturbed by the beginning of this story it is now becoming pure fun.

Yeah, Destry knows what’s up here if it’s preemptively playing this at max volume without even being asked to. :D

I don’t listen to current music, but I have a great deal of respect for Taylor Swift’s awesome talent. I think her fans are absolutely terrific and I am so glad they have a good role model and that they have such a fun and joyful bond to share. They do no harm, and they are happy — that’s a great thing.

Yes – I suspected Destry would ride in soon.

Here’s a great thought – Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, played on the lowest notes of a tuba. That went over gangbusters with a classroom full of kindergartners. I’m pretty sure it would drive tidy woman absolutely batty!

I admire Taylor’s talent; her vocal range isn’t my favorite, so I don’t listen to her much. And, I must admit to preferring a local singer/songwriter, the pride of Maple Valley—Brandi Carlile.

I am captivated by everyone’s choice of music as the soundtrack for chaos!! And I can see the logic in them, very fun. I feel like if I’m the cat doing the distraction, then I’d want something psychotically energetic, maybe The Descendents “Everything Sux”. Whereas if I am the film maker showing the audience Sophie’s moment then I go slow motion and something w/more contrast like Linda Ronstadt “You’re No Good”. A game with no wrong answers…
