Brad’s clever answers aren’t getting it. Brad should find a way to tell Shannon that now that she’s 7 (?), she needs to learn that adults have to get work done – and they can’t entertain her every minute.

Brad, why doncha have the brat help out with your chores??

After dumping her cereal on the table so she could “finger paint”, what will her next stunt be, playing with matches and starting a fire, so she can look at the “pretty flames”, maybe pouring bleach into the gas tank, so she can "pretend’ to be putting gas in the car.Stay tuned, it can only get more exciting to keep the brat around.

I never get to take a nap. Last time I started to take a nap th tractor went off in to a irrigation ditch. Took two trucks with wenches to get it out

Love this comic, but isn’t it called Luann? Would like to see more about Luann, and also, Tiffany and the rest of the gang. Why so much about Shannon?

Sleep time for Shannon. Unless GnK have a punchline for Saturday, it’s been nap time for most of us this week.

Why the heck isn’t Brad having Shannon help clean up the mess SHE created?? She needs to learn the consequences of her actions. She makes the mess, she cleans it up. Having her just sit and watch Brad do it only teaches her that someone else will always take care of it.

Shannon could be a lot nicer to her Uncle Brad.

At her age I didn’t have a choice.

I like the infinite calm and patience Brad shows with Shannon. Also the honest way he talks to her, always clear and serious, without treating her like a child who shouldn’t be taken seriously. He’s reasoning with Shannon and I’m sure this does her a lot of good because, as annoyed as she is, she’s not making a scene. Brad really knows how to get to Shannon’s heart.

She should be helping clean up her mess!

So whatever happened to “Shannon the chef/housekeeper” whose favorite thing to do was clean up?

Even as a child, I was never able to nap unless I was sick. The term “quiet time” was probably created for kids like me.

When I was a kid, I hated being told to go take a nap. Now, I look forward to my daily, brief siesta.

Sounds like Brad may be getting a little tired of this arrangement.

Went to see Deadpool & Wolverine. It was a Closed Captions showing, but I was able to hear and understand everything…with my hearing aid off.

Looks like Shannon is really working hadrd at helping clean up her mess, in which case Brad needs to sender off to sit in a corner facing the walls for thirty minutes.

This is going to be a long month!

Wait 70 years. You’ll be going to bed at the usual time kids your age are taking a nap. : )

Amazing! Brad actually gave Shannon a towel and made her help him clean up the mess she made.

Re: Brad’s final comment: do twenty somethings really take naps in the middle of the day? (I realize he’s a firefighter but they never have Brad or Toni show the exhaustion that may come from such a physical job.) Or is he just talking about young adults who have to deal with hyperactive children?

Brad is being very calm through all this. He sure has changed from the Luann Again days. I hope Toni appreciates all the work Brad is doing. Shannon certainly doesn’t. I still expect Toni to cater to her niece.

I guess Toni sits around eating bon bons when she is off cause Brad does everything?

I have a vision here… In one month Toni decides that she really is ready and excited about a baby while Brad runs screaming.

This clown dutifully cleans up every mess this hyperactive little snot makes on a whim? Noble, patient parenting? No—utter stupidity.

It’s very clear, comparing this to Brad’s fantasies a few weeks back, that Brad does not want actual children, but just wants to live out his own childish fantasy about what being a parent is like.

What is that old saying about someone working from dawn to dusk, but someone else’s work is never done? Of course that doesn’t really apply to first resonders. When on duty, they may be at rest, but must be ready for anything. Right now, Brad iswishing HE was on shift, and, Toni was home.

Hyperactivity is the norm for kids this age

Brad may rethink how quickly he wants to start a family, lol

So, Brad finally found where the ice cream fell. Better late than never.

Shannon needs to be taught to clean up her own messes.

The higher the IQ the worse it gets. Boredom is a disease to kids with high IQ. Now days IQ really doesn’t mean much. Boy I dumbed out quick when I started school. I’ve known kids for real that are like this. You always got to be on the ball. I had to deal with 3 kids at the same time. Now I sit back and laugh at myself that I didn’t go nuts! And I don’t miss it. I feel sad that they don’t want kids of there own. So I can step back and say ah ah how does that feel it’s what they want in life.
