Well Shannon has a step grandma. That’s wonderful for Shannon. She doesn’t have a grandma. Toni and Jonah were orphans and Toni raised Jonah. Nancy makes a perfect surrogate for her

Yes you can get famous doing commercials. But not sure where this story is going.

I knew she was missing her dad. Not spoiled, not manipulating, not “bad”. She’s a kid and missing dad.

Isn’t it nice that Brad has parents, siblings, and others who are willing and able to just drop everything and come help him out with someone else’s kid? Not everyone has that kind of support network.

Nancy once said she wasn’t ready to be a grandmother, I think she would be a wonderful grandma. Shannon opened up to her right away about what was making her cry. I’m glad she’s feeling better now. It’s true, Jonah has beautiful, lush hair. He may not become famous, but his career will definitely improve if he’s the lead actor in a series of shampoo ads. He could become a famous model.

I think the point is that Brad is trying to rationalize with her like an adult and Nancy is giving her what she really needs: affection and silliness.

Think maybe it is getting close to the time where Brad and Toni adopt Shannon because her Dad becomes famous and something happens to him.

“Lush Locks” can pound rocks. Shannon is a bit of a loose cannon. Brad is trying to be a Dad, but Nancy does Mom things quite fancy.

Nancy heard the music behind the words. With Noah’s lush hair, Shannon feared he would become famous with those shampoo ads and never come home.

Show me one kid under the age of 10—or 20—who uses the word “lush” and can construct this scenario…. and knows that success in acting means being gone all of the time. Good Lord, what planet do these people LIVE on? Is she five or 58????

And he’s going away for a MONTH to film a shampoo commercial? Geez Louise, what is this, “Francis Ford Coppola’s Head & Shoulders”?

Today I learned that shampoo commercials take a month to shoot. That doesn’t sound right to me, but then again this is the same universe where someone can become a dorm RA in her freshman year of college.

Mom’s indeed have super powers. I am staying with a college chum whose mother I loved. Margaret Stewart. I still miss sitting at the kitchen table, her with a cig and coffee and me and my pal getting straightened out about everything we thought.

Poor kid. Yeah, I know, she can be a pain at times, but considering the built in uncertainties in her home life she could be a lot worse. Don’t get me wrong, her home life could be a Whole lot worse and there’s no excuse for truly bratty behavior If you’ve been taught otherwise, but all things considered she could be a whole lot worse, and deserves better. I shared raising 2 boys of our own and was lucky enough to be a significant part of raising 3 girls and I’d take her in in a heartbeat. Maybe regret it later, but…..

How many famous ad spokespersons can you recognize out of make up? Mayhemfrom the Allstate ads, the Salesperson from the AT&T ads, and, the Toyota recpetionist are the only ones that come to mind.
