Humans are animals that walk on their hind legs ergo humans are stupid and have no souls. Hmmm, that dictionary must have been written before man invented religion.
Animals practice survival via basic survival instincts,. i.e., meet needs as they arise. Humans add so many non-essential ‘needs’ that they risk their own survival.
The implication is that only humans have souls, ergo to be human is to have a soul. Convenient, but content-free. Like saying green is defined as the color that is green.
Hmmm, I disagree. I feel that all of God’s critters and creatures are sentient with souls, and the ones I love(d) will greet me on the other side when I leave this place. Everyone has different opinions, though. No judgement!
The word rendered soul was never intended to imply a seperate state, Nephesh just means breather, so both man and animals ARE souls, they do not HAVE one.
Animals are often not as stupid as humans think – recently they found horses can plan & strategise, something I suspect they’ve been trying to keep from us

I once saw a real cool cat performing jazz, he seemed to have plenty of soul.

Just like humans

Someone has to say it, so here goes: Anyone who thinks animals don’t have souls must never have been a pet parent.

If animals have no souls then neither do we humans since we too are animals, mammals. Some animals have more soul than some humans.

It’s been explained to me that animals, including humans, have bodies and souls. But only humans have a spirit.

End-of-the-century Johnny Hart probably wouldn’t have used this joke…

Plenty of animals have more or fewer than four legs (clams only have two!)

‘Stupid’ can define the human animal but not the others. They are just living the lives given them…simple as they may be.
