At least she was awake when it happened. Mine only seems to do that just after I’ve turned off the light. (Okay, technically still awake, but a horribly inconvenient time!)

Sunday Funday

I once had the shower rod fall down while I was taking a shower! Bruised my shoulder and let water spray all over the bathroom floor.

I wonder if Iggy’s doing some undercover reporting from inside the pile?

OZ’s loyalty is sweet.

I’m reminded of some directions on giving a cat a bath. If you are a woman, sit down and have a good cry. If you are a man, sit down and have a good cry.

Just picturing a Big Pink House on the moon, where Ora Zella takes one small hop for kittenhood, and then makes one giant pounce for tortie-dom.

OT Today is the first day of MId-Autum-Festival, when family and friends meet over a meal to watch the full moon. Will our racoon friend bring Sophie a moon cake to share under the shininng orb? Or might the two of them at their separate homes look at the moon their hearts brimming with affection for their absent soul-mate?

Is anyone else wondering how the rod came to fall down? Might a small cat have had something to do with it?

Can’t help but wonder if a certain, adventures kitten…(cough cough, OZ!) decided to walk across the closet rod…hmmmmm?

Build a house? Now I’m imagining Ora Zella with power tools.

This could be a blessing in disguise. Now she has to go through the closet one item at a time. A great opportunity to weed out the unused, unwanted or hideous (why on EARTH did I buy that?) and donate.

One of the advantages of being a bachelor, most of my clothes are on the floor to begin with, so not much risk of collapsing anything. :)

Wardrobe malfunction

Built an amoire for my mother. Used black pipe and stanchions for support. You could do pull ups on it.

Forced closet clean out. Not necessarily a bad thing :) Lots of snuggly old sweaters for kitties to nest in.

Building a house on the Moon would certainly be out of this world.

I thought Ora Zella fought the Moon. Sweet offer, though.

This literally happened to me last week. Minus the crying.

Ora Zella: “Who do I need to fight? Just point them out. I’ll take them on. In fact, why don’t I just take everybody out? That’ll make things easier.”

Routinely, we purge our closet of old clothes that don’t fit or that we don’t like. They’re sent to charity.

Georgia! How did the talk at the library go?

For what it’s worth, I’ve purged my closet four times since Paul died, and I still have too many clothes This is mainly because I can’t seem to part with some outfits he particularly liked on me.

Truly a first world problem.

I’m waiting for this to happen in my wife’s closet. Any day now, if she doesn’t start weeding out the clothes she no longer wants.

Just a couple of weeks ago I moved some clothes I never wear out of my bedroom closet into the (relatively unused) hall closet because I was worried about this sort of thing. Was I prophetic?

When I wake up to a crash in the middle of the night, my first response is generally tears. Relatable.

My shower rod recently fell down. It scared the absaloute crap out of me.

Love the “Who do I need to fight” to the “I would build you a whole house and it would be on the moon” and finally “Burn it! Burn it ALL!” That tail keeps going like that she’s going to take off. Of course, wonder who “helped” it fall down……

OT Bad news on TK Streams

Today we have Ora Zella building on the moon. Earlier this week we had Ora Zella fighting the moon. Today we have a mess of clothes on the floor. Last week’s arc featured Tortimer and a missing remote. I can’t help but think these are all somehow precursors to the upcoming story arc.

(slightly) OT Georgia’s talk yesterday

Ugh, I HATE it when that happens … and it is NEVER happening again in this house! I replaced the flimsy closet rods that were here with metal pipe and built stouter rod holders, too. Having one rod come down while we were getting ready for work was more than enough.

Last night there was a crash in the middle of the night. I got up to check, and found one of the cats sitting on the kitchen counter where the paper towel stand was supposed to be, and the paper towel roll was on the floor—in the cats’ water dish. >:-(

The paper towel stand (with a new, fresh, DRY roll of towels!) now has a new home in the kitchen, hanging from a cup hook I screwed into the ceiling this morning, where cats can’t reach it and my head won’t bump into it either!

You know, it’s truly a pity that the Woman (unlike her kids) cannot understand what the cats say!

I need an Ora Zella in my life, I do!

In the last panel, it looks more like a Fair Isle Sweater than a shirt. There are a lot of adds out for them this fall.

After I had retired from a US Gov’t agency back in 2013, I took a complete set of my work provided work clothes and burned them.

The first step being to have a good cry reminds me of a gag from an episode of M*A*S*H:

Hawkeye: So far I am doing it in the right order.

I too am familiar with the falling curtain rod. Mine is the length of two doors, plus; the rod is wooden (I’m not sure you could get wooden ones that long anymore). The maintenance person who fixed it, just put a piece of wood with a V cut out on the end with the broken bracket, plus a bracket in the middle. The end piece works great, but the metal bracket in the middle bent like butter. Rather than have them try again and have to listen to how I have too many clothes in there, I bought a 1×4 board, cut a V in the end, and jammed it up under the rod in the middle. Works much better! (Seriously, why would the closet be that size if it wasn’t meant to hold all the clothes I can cram onto the rod?)

Love Ora Zella’s tail waggle and, “Who do I need to fight?” She knows how to resolve any problem!
