Actually, at my age whenever I drop something I’ll look at it long and hard wondering if I ever really need it again.

Seems like whenever I drop something, it always rolls underneath the geometric center of the couch, bed, refrigerator, car…….

I’ve never heard any one talk to dropped items.

Why do we drops, master wayne? So that we can learns how to picks it up.

That’s not quite the words I used to use…….

I usually say something like “Of course you did” when something falls and rolls under the something large.

Oops! “Oh, Nuts!”

My first thought reading this comic was of a plugger talking to a cheeto he dropped.

When I drop things, it seems like they fall into a Black Hole, especially important items.

I sometimes talk to a bug i’m chasing, especially ones i dread catching.

As with any number of other inanimate objects, on all sorts of occasions.

I usually say “Sit, Stay!”

I think the original word balloon was, “Fine, stay there then!” but this is cool too.

This reminds me of the auto mechanic’s corollary to Murphy’s Law. Anything dropped while working on an engine will find itself in the exact geographical center under the car.

Somewhat hissterical.

I usually add the word bástard to the comment. Like it fell on purpose.

Especially if it rolls into the darkness. Any darkness is THE darkness anymore.

huh buoy… that means I’ve been a plugger since I was a little kid!

Why yes,yes I do! And then I tell it to “please cooperate”…..

I’m a cook in a restaurant. I talk to the food all the time: “Don’t stick! Don’t break! Get in there!”

OK you made your choice you jumped on the floor and there you’ll stay. And I spent about a week walking around until I finally pick it up

I talk to trees that I dropped into holes as acorns.

Sometimes when I drop something and it keeps getting away from me, I say:

“You’re a slippery little demon, ain’t ya?”

I don’t know why, but, when I drop something, and it is in a difficult to reach spot, I tend to quote Bill Murray, from “Ghost Busters… Mother pus bucket!”

My whole family does this. We apologize to any inanimate object we bump into (and we are not even Canadian), we talk to anything we are working on or with. I guess most people would say we are just talking to ourselves but it is usually directed AT something.
