As today’s topic is about ashes, this story is about

An elderly woman from Brooklyn who decided to prepare her will. She told her rabbi she had two final requests. First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart.

“Wal-Mart!” the rabbi exclaimed. “Why Wal-Mart?”

The elderly woman says “Then I’ll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week.”

I’ve long said global warming is no threat — nuclear winter will more than compensate for it.

…Oldest KNOWN cave art. Tambora without summer – we experienced the April 8th total eclipse in the narrow area of totality in North Hatley Quebec where the temperature went from 64 and completely sunny to somewhere in the mid 50s and totally dark during the eclipse, so you not only experience the total darkness and the umbra ring, you also experience the dramatic cooling effect. I have seen several partial and near total eclipses before but the total eclipse is nothing like that. Go way out of your way to experience a complete total eclipse if you can.

If the CO2 released by the volcanic eruption caused low temps back in 1815, why does CO2 released now supposedly cause warmer temps?

It’s cool that the very hot volcano can lead to world wide cooling. It has been said that the eruption of Vesuvius had similar after effects.

The BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China) are doing their darnedest to make the Chinese Yuan the new global currency. And what about digital currency?
