Pomp and Crucifix

Gets them up to the top of the hill in a more orderly fashion.

The God Squad. This looks like an entry into the Pasadena Doo Dah parade.

Of course, the one “true” god is a woman.

This is the Kilban I remember!

It’s the Baton Death March.

Cah-LASSIC! There’s only ONE Kliban.

All that’s missing is a marching band.

Where are the bonnets?

This reminds me of the story of the kid who was failing in math. This parents didn’t know what to do so they sent him to a Catholic school. After he was in school awhile, his grades in math dramatically improved, and he was getting straight As. His parents were astounded, and asked him what happened.

The kid said “in class, there was a guy nailed to a plus sign, so I knew they weren’t fooling around”.

“Look, I know he’s had successful Broadway musicals, I just question if he’s the right person to direct this year’s passion play.”

Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war. Majorette of Jesus, going on before.

“Crucifixion? Good. Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each.”

Pain parade. Today, crucifixion has become daily discourse as we continue to demonize the “other.”
