It’s times like these where I wonder if Marigold has a British accent or an American accent. No doubt, it’s flamboyant! The same question can be asked of Florence.
I mentioned before that Dana said she pictured Jane Krakowski as the voice of Marigold, but when I brought it up on Blue Sky recently, Dana said she had a friend who was a well-known VA who really wanted the role too.
If I had to guess, that friend would be Nicole Oliver, the voice of Princess Celestia in FIM, because she and Dana did a reading of the Lisa Ladybug storyline a few years ago with Dana as Phoebe and Nicole as Marigold.
She also said she pictured Matt Berry or Cary Elwes as Lord Splendid Humility, and Nick Offerman as Todd the Candy Dragon.
So Unicorns have magic – right? So why hasn’t Marigold just used her magic to free herself. I hate inconsistent fantasy worlds where magic comes and goes as a tool of the story teller. Have we learned nothing from the Holodeck debacle?

This is where the Brothers Grimm got the idea from. Though it’s less ‘Grimm’ and more ‘try not to laugh’.

Well, she’ll make noise and drown out the story.

A distant cousin of Florence and Marigold appears in today’s “Super-Fun-Pak Comix”. Highly recommended.

“And also because we care about her.” “Oh. Oh yes…of course…because we care about her. Of course…”
