Don’t worry. That candidate will be back before you know it.

Out of the race because of a scandal? That is fantasy.

We all know one fellow who’s completely immune to all the scandals that surround him. He just declares them FAKE and goes on to the next one.

It’s not an either/or situation. Someone can be covered in scandals while also being out for the season with an injury, like Cleveland’s quarterback. He can now do a leisurely rehab while still receiving his guaranteed salary.

If only.

I remember the days when wearing a tan suit was a scandal. Now, nothing is.

What was scandalous yesterday is a prerequisite today…

It seems like no scandal is effective against the old pumpkin. Not filthy talk on tape, not conviction of felonies, not proven s-exual assault on women, not selling Bibles made in China, not clowning around with secret documents. Not love notes to dictators. But remember, old pumpkins are orange on the outside, hollow and rotting on the inside, and need to be thrown out in early November.

That’s too realistic to be fantasy.

It’s getting harder and harder to find something that would be considered a scandal. Maybe murder?

If only . . .

Scandal? More like “Career enhancement” As Oscar Wilde said, “The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.”

A certain party gets to lie all he wants, Scot free.

He will be back next cycle. Clean, sober and forgiven by God and party.
