In 1978, Waylon & Willie went to #1 on the country charts with “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys”. In 1996 – 18 years later – Paula Cole charted with “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?”. Apparently the mammas heeded the advice.
Their wives are going to notice the missing eggs….and there’ll be some fowl language when they get home. She’ll be standing there in her faded flannel gown. (Raindrops on the windshield….. )
Geese, mainly Canadian Geese, are everywhere one looks where I live. Thanks to all the water retention ponds that most places have to include when building, our city is becoming a goose paradise. Watch out where you step, too!
Love the chicken wire around the stage. I’m sure the singer loves it too since some people have already " commented on his singing " with other eggs clinging to the wire and not on him.

How can a gosling grow up to be anything but a goose?

Love the details in the drawing. The eggs, the dancers, the “DOS EGGIES” sign, etc. It really sets the scene.

I think I was at the honk tonk one night when I was honk tonk hopping. The memory is fuzzy.

If you don’t like the music, perhaps you should attend a poultry slam instead.
