That’s cute but I think the fantasy is closer to reality. Nancy is experienced enough to have all the packing done by Christams eve. Frank knows how to start a fire.. Duraflame log anyone? And Bernice can’t find Christmas Music to play.. seriously?

I guess something is burning in the oven. And why is their Christmas tree leaning so far over to the left? Maybe time to get a refund from that shady lot they bought it from. ;)

On the plus side… this is still WAY better than Brad picking a T-Shirt color! lol

And something tells me the majority of commentors reading today’s strip are going to say it could only truly be a Christmas Eve fantasy if Bernice wasn’t there.

Frank: buy Nancy a timer so she won’t burn her cookies. Luann: index your music so you can find the tunes you want. Bernice: GTFO. Brad: if you had gone shopping instead of trying to find the perfect T with TJ you wouldn’t have to go on the worst day for shopping. At least Puddles is enjoying herself.

Why isn’t Berniece with her own family?

When you bake cookies you do that and nothing else. You never leave them in the oven and go in a different room. Too unbelievable that Nancy would do this.

Mom wrapping presents on xmas eve? My mom would have them all wrapped and stacked in her closet for a month minimum, driving me crazy.

Actually, my childhood Christmas Eves were that fantasy. Just add a grand piano with us singing Christmas Carols while my mom played. Yeh, I know I was super fortunate.

We used to wrap gifts in the colorful Sunday comics pages.

I get this is just a comic and I understand the joke being made, but these particular characters aren’t that incompetent.

Is there such a thing as Christmas chaos?? Sure thing. Will you miss it when the kids are grown and out of the house and it’s not your turn to host Christmas? Without a doubt.

NONE of it is required by any physical factor. It’s a burden people put on themselves. We just don’t bother.

Awesome! Very similar to the reality, but at least the Degroots seem to have received all their packages on time. Interesting to note that Bernice is spending Christmas Eve with them.

I love the attention to detail, but I could have done without seeing Frank’s soggy pits.

Frank’s got a sweat goin’. I don’t think I’ve ever seen sweat drawn in a comic.
