All kidding aside, today’s strip is just plain ridiculous.

It’s almost like it’s being done purposely to irk everyone.

Except Iggy, who’s the captain of the rah rah team!

Even the letterer is finding this story a snoozfest.

Is there a chance this will be a clock starting up and nothing more ?  Junior might be clean on this one despite an earlier murder, that was most likely done by him.

The “HITCHCOCK EFFECT” doesnt translate well to comic strips…and while I’m sure this story DID, in Eric’s head, it too…falls far short….but, benefit of the doubt here, perhaps this is one of those stories that “reads better on a whole” instead of “chopped up into dailies”…tho at this point, I’M VOLUNTEERING TO BE “VICTIM #1”

Sounds like someone is playing that Milton Bradley game from the 60s….

Hitchcock was mentioned above, Panel 3 would be Vertigo!

Could that be Martians shooting a ray gun making that noise?! More than likely a soldering gun noise!

At first I thought the sign said “Cloak Room” taking me back to my grade school days in the 1950s!

I obviously picked a bad time to try and rejoin Dick and Sam after a long hiatus.

I wonder if the writers/ artists were tempted to use Unny-ufts (bloop) instead?

I wonder how it would have worked without the sound effects, just the picture.

I suspect the sound is supposed to be something from the clock. Unfortunately, something like that clock should be fairly silent unless something is rather wrong with it. Thus, I suspect somebody has been tampering with the clock, and the bomb man was there to blow up the clock.

(Of course, the bomb man was incompetent anyway. He deliberately drew attention from the legal system, and then got someone else [who may or may not have been his employer] involved.
