I dont trust her one iota

Oh now I am quite curious. Figured that would have ended with her snatching the paper and storming away. Maybe asking him to leave and never come back. .I am now picturing the rest of his family being small and scrawny. Maybe he has always had to keep bullies at bay for his family.

Not a bright guy, but he does know right from wrong.

Ann was suing TONI, not Shannon. Hence, she can continue with her suit without breaking any promises.

Ann is a joke, manager of a fast food place at about 30 K and she still has illusions of glory.

I’m not sure I can picture tj in a tight blouse and skirt dude that’s just wrong

it is also possible that Ox was not always so big and was bullied himself when younger.

Just steer clear of The Evil Weeniequeen, Oxford, and you’ll be all right!

Whoops! Didn’t Ann just shake hands with Ox using the “injured” finger and not reacting painfully? Is TJ smiling because he knows the store’s videotape has recorded the moment?

Personally, I’d sooner shake hands with a Rattlesnake. (that is, if a Rattlesnake had hands!) And to those who speculated that Ms Awful would file battery charges against Ox. Remember that she laid hands on him first! Thus, he could file battery charges as well. No DA would even bother prosecuting that. Also, Ox’s grabbing her wrist was to prevent her from grabbing his hand and the paper. /// PS: If I was Ox. I’d tell her NO!!! Tell me what you want to tell me out here in public!

One other thing, with her remark in the last panel, “You’re smarter than you look.” Ox realizes that she’s considered him to be a stupid idiot who could be manipulated.

As he’s still a minor, that would only get her in more trouble.

Maybe he just knows bullying is wrong.

Ox has probably been thru his share of being bullied. It’s socially acceptable to make fun of fat people. He is a bit larger in size than his peers so I think he was bullied about it. He also only seems to stick up for others. He is more concerned about the little girl being sued than he is about being told to lie.

Bet he gets a weenie crown like the little girl.

I have another take on this strip today. As much as I do not like Ann, now Ox is being a bully. That affidavit belongs to Ann, and Ox has no right to take it from her and keep it from her. Also, a person has a right to sue another person. If the suit doesn’t have enough merit, the plaintiff will lose. (I think it is ridiculous that Ann is calling Shannon a bully. Shannon is much smaller than Ann.)

Ox I wouldnt have given that paper back. I wish you just went to your uncle and said something. On the other hand She could have written up another peice of paper.

I don’t think Ox is a magic leprecon who is going to be thwarted by semantics. The real problem here is when he gave back the paper the case against her became much less solid so unless Ox wants to physically assault Ann he has no way of enforcing his “no sueing the litte girl” edict.

Why is it that people, in general, assume that someone with physical strength is immune to being bullied? Bullying is just as much mental as physical… and the mental and emotional damage is usually far far worse.

This being a comic strip and all ……. but maybe, due to his size, he was falsely accused of being a bully at one point in his younger days? We all know how streotypes can be thrown about.

Could the size/looks of Ox ‘intimidate’ customers into buying more than they came in for? If so, then TJ becomes replaceable. But if her bargaining chip is that he can eat all he wants…

Makes me think of Lisbeth Salander… she hates men who hate women because her mother was abused. Perhaps Ox has seen enough of his friends/family hurt and he’s just done with it all.

The whole time, TJ has been keeping up a constant line of patter that in normal circumstances would get his posterior thrown out the door. These, however, are far from normal circumstances. His whole purpose in working at WW was to torment Ann for being so scummy to Brad and Toni; my suspicion is that he’s not done yet.

I am just surprised that there was no one else in that fast food restaurant other than TJ, Ox, and the witch all this week. It takes more than two people to run the place!! You would think the place would have been packed with people placing orders and watching this crazy scene happening in plain sight!!

I would hazard a guess that IF Ox is as slow as he stated and is drawn – then as a much younger child, he was probably teased for being slow.

I saw that I got insulted and called a Troll the other day for saying that I thought Shannon shouldn’t have been praised for biting an adult. Because I just started the account before commenting. Well, duh. I usually like the strip so I didn’t feel the need to comment. This storyline upset me so I made an account so I could put in my two cents. I guess that’s not wanted. This doesn’t seem like a very nice community where you all have to have the same opinion.

At the risk of being labelled a “know it all”, before the horse you’re on gets any higher, you might want to know that this comic has a long history of attracting trolls and sockpuppets. Their activities were why the Luann board at comics.com was closed. .In spite of what you may be pleased to think, people who don’t “go with the flow” or majority opinion aren’t automatically labelled as trolls. The sockpuppets are pretty easy to spot – they do anywhere from a month to 4 month rotation, only in this strip, and pop up like toadstools to put out bait. When a notice is posted not to feed them, another one comes to its defense, and sometimes they get sloppy. Admin is watching IP addresses, and that’s all I’m going to say on the matter. .There’s nothing wrong with a difference of opinions. People view the same set of circumstances from different vantage points all the time, hopefully they can defend their posiiton with something better than “because I said so”. Trolls, however, are dependent on misrepresentation to get things going – the latest claim from the resident troll (ironically, a true frog in a bog) was that Greg was worried about the upcoming elections and was taking his frustrations out on “Annie”. If you want a return to the End of Days at comics.com and more unbridled trolling like that, by all means contact Admin and tell them to release the Kraken..You and I had a big time disagreement back on March 28th over your dictate that all written comments on this forum should follow the same “rules” as spoken ones. Each frame has TJ being a twit. In the 2nd frame his sarcasm insults both Ox and Ann, and in the last frame he insults Ox’s intelligence.

So freaking annoying. I wish Ann and Ox would powwow and decide to stick him in a vat of french fry oil. He needs a comeuppance.

I can’t claim credit – there’s a lot of stories of Bob Hope saying that to Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, etc. I think it’s one of those quips that should have happened but never did – or at least, didn’t happen with a camera or witness around.
