So, I said yesterday something about abandoned warehouses, but this one is more an abandoned factory.

Had to look it up to see Urie is Scottish, so as in Urie Pounds out Scottish military gear?

A whole week of …. yawn ….. this ….. yawn …… Zzzzzzzzzzz

This might possibly be the most boring week in Dick Tracy history!

Of course, it still doesn’t compare to Firebutt’s lovelife!

Looks like all the best pieces have already happened while now the strip is running on diminishing fumes.

Chester Gould’s old “Sawdust” & “Invisible Tribe” strips had more plot & narrative drive than what we’ve seen this week.

Why does the clock have IV for 4? Every clock I have with Roman numerals has IIII ! Even though IV is correct, clocks for some reason have the IIII!

I’ve seen stories of old abandon warehouses and factories with stuff left in there, but I still think it might be a criminal’s hideout.

If the old company had an exclusive contract with the military, does that mean ♪♪"The only way is up"?♪♪

Okay, I give up where is the criminal mastermind?

I find it very hard to believe that someone somewhere actually green-lighted this mind numbingly tedious offering

Still building the plot eh. But the time is running out. It about time the story begins already!

Tic toc, tic tok, do we finally have a plot?

Day 5: Five days with no plot holes! I don’t mind a slow build, so I’ve no complaints. It appears this location will tie to the story that’s coming. It’s past history may or may not be an element… It could be “Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.” Let’s see how long the logic can continue! Maybe even into a whole week of story!

Bit of trivia. For many years the largest four sided clock in the world was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A few years ago the Saudi’s built one in Mecca that dwarfed the Milwaukee clock. I was actually a bit disappointed when I saw Big Ben the first time. In my mind it had always been much bigger than it was in the flesh… Not that it actually has flesh.

The clock face is interesting. For the numeral 4 it uses “IV” which, of course, is a proper form of a Roman numeral. But the majority of clock faces with Roman numerals prefer to show 4 as “IIII” rather than “IV” (for aesthetic reasons, as far as I can make out). I have three clocks with Roman numerals in this room with me and all three use “IIII”— Tracy needs to investigate the designer of that clock face! They are clearly up to no good!
