That’s what Congress has been doing for at least a century.

He delegated the authority to pass the buck.

He was promoted – he rose in the company

… and Delegating Authority = Passing the Buck

Ain’t it the truth . .

And unfortunately afterwards he continues to micromanage

But he doesn’t let many bucks pass him by.

It’s called “collaborative management” which means if you come up with a good idea, it’s really his, but if you come up with a bad idea, then it’s allllll yours.

Delegating Authority isn’t really a way to Pass the Buck.

A Boss is always ultimately responsible for the things his Subordinates do or fail to do. If he delegates wisely, he will benefit. If he does it with poor judgment, he’ll be on the Street in no time.

For too many managers it’s not really delegating authority, it’s delegating responsibility, with out authority.

He’s still looking for his level of incompetence.

I used to program and test the electronic funds transfer applications of a large bank. I told my boss that electronic funds transfer was just a more efficient way of passing the buck. (This has absolutely no connection to the fact that I’m not working there anymore. None, right, that’s the ticket…)

Management keeps one in the same place always, stagnation. Leadership moves the company or any organization forward…..

He still knows how to pucker up.

Like most other things, delegation is a learned and practiced skill.

I wanted to “pass the buck”, but I couldn’t even find a dime to pass.
