Well, this seems to end the Shannon-stays-over arc. GEE HAW. Mean while, back at the ranch we see Ann readying the whips for the night’s adventure.

Ah. House Hunting! It’s about darn time! Now I hear the Berger will be on the market soon. It’s cozy, centrally located, and MOST Importantly, it’s “TJ-Less.”

Speaking of the “Devil,” You ARE going to LEAVE Old Smiley behind this time when you move, right. I mean, it’s not like he’s got no place to stay as he can REMAIN the sole occupant of the Horner House. Right? RIGHT?? RIGHT???

I guess Brad and Toni finally got tired of having only 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

It’s an astounding day for Nancy:

1. She realize that Toni is the type of girl who would say, “rarin’ to go.”

2. She realizes that the person renting her house is now going to be just T.J. and the only thing which was making him an acceptable renter was the presence of Brad.

3. There is something about the idea of being a grandmother that causes her grasp her breasts with both hands or count to ten on her fingers. I am not sure which one is correct. The drawing could go either way.

It’s like the shortest game of Telephone ever.

Nancy is much like some folks on the comment boards. She turns a direct statement about one thing into a totally different statement about something that she wants to hear.

They will need room for any children they may produce and Shannon too.

Toni and Brad are two crazy lovebirds that are taking that next big step in there lives. I think grandma is pulling a Fred Sanford.

@DAVID HUIE GREEN: I wish I could understand why so many posters on this board are so eager to see Toni and Brad have a kid. Are all of you out there just loving the idea of arcs about morning sickness, diaper changes, parents who don’t get to sleep through the night or what?

Waiting for the first grandchild is very hard. For me, the topper is that they stopped at the first one. :(

If I were Brad and Toni I would buy the Horner house hire a contractor to do a upgrade, extra bed room bathroom and remodel the kitchen

How much you wanna bet that Shannon will live with them once they have a baby? That would give them a family of 4 and two children to work with. The real question is what to do about Toni’s brother? Kill him off? Throw him in jail?

Do old-enough-Fathers long for grandchildren the way old-enough-Mothers do?

Poor Nancy. The Grandma gene is kicking in!

Hang on, Nancy! That will happen in time, eventually. But first things first. Gotta prep the environment. Hopefully at least a three bedroom house (one for their children and one for, maybe, Shannon)???

I thought that the normal course of events is that you start to have a family, THEN buy a house. Unless we’ve missed something, and, Brad, and, Toni are going to take full time custody of Shannon. Seemsa obvious that Shannon’s father isn’t up to the job, and, I don’t know whatever happened to her mother.

Out of character behavior for Brad and Toni, Nancy must be dreaming.

Why not just buy the house you are living in from your folks? They would probably give you a good deal.

The mom seems concerned about B and T getting started right now. How does she think they will make a baby?

This is a Sunday style joke that moves the plot ahead.

Old farts and biddies again. Of course a young, fresh, hot couple in love are always “rarin to go” and should be. Which will lead to Nancy being a grandmother soon enough, and remember this is Luanniverse. Getting a house not only makes sense, as a basis to start and raise a family, but is a huge step, and should I be all generational, a really huge one for millennials. One thing ‘they are not saddled with college debt, they probably finished any college training at a community college, which, let me advertise in light of a certain Benito’s comments last year, is one of the advantages of community college, useful programs, that don’t leave students drowning in student loan debt.

I hope when Brad and Toni get their new house, they don’t tell that idiot Jonah where it is. Toni’s brother and his bratty kid do not make for an enjoyable experience in this strip.

LOL! Over 40 years ago when a cousin moved up her wedding the local rumor mill assumed they were expecting. Nope! His job came with housing. If he was single he would be in a dorm with other males, but one of the married couple cottages was available. So, they got married in a rush for HOUSING.

It’s not just mom-translators who make such assumptions. (The biggest rumor monger in our town was one of the males who co-owned a business. I was going to say the type of business, but people who know me know anyway who I mean and that sadly one offspring learned the same “skill” for at least a while till it got the person burned, so there is no need to rub in. We have all met rumor mongers and know what they are about, right?)

Priorities are right here! House, first! THEN, kid. B&T, you are young – take your time with the second part!!! :)

Plenty of time for babies. Too many people rush into this. On the other hand, the birth rate in USA has plummeted in the last 15 years or so.

Wait – this almost fits in continuity with this past week’s dailies! Except I thought the big announcement would be a pregnancy as well. (Of course, buying a house would be part of planning a family.)

I think some of this is generational. Time was, buying a house did mean that you were ready to start a family.

Lol well think of it this way. Once they get the house maybe that will trigger the “Let’s start a family” drive.

They said one thing, Nancy heard another. Nobody, not even Brad is crude enough to say, “Bye mom, we’re going to go have sex.”

Going from “house” to “family”…. You know, whenever I search online using the voice activation feature, Google does the same thing…..
