If we switch back to Luann next week and the camping trip’s over already, I will be very cross!

My big concern is whether Bets will survive the health problems that have caused her radical colour change. When we first saw her she was a nice chocolate brown. Now she’s the colour of an elderly British colonel on the verge of apoplexy.

Bets is too controlling. This ain’t gonna last. Tiffany is gonna smack Bets to the ground and Toss Gunther out on hi noggin.50%? That’s nuts. 10% most. Believe me, anything else is gonna be trouble.

Initial impression: Bets is cute. Bets is hot, and Bets has the hots for Gunther. She will most likely make the first romantic move and he will be swept away by it. Bets is also practical and a bit ruthless. Give it a shot, Gun. You may have the mannequin, but she’s got the backbone……..and she’s hot.

So Gunther is her “friend” ? Frendly help is free of charge. You do not profit from friends. And if she charges 50 % her friends, how much would she charge strangers ?

50% is a bargaining position, but whatever the deal Tiff would do better going with Gunther and Bets than she would by herself. Unfortunately she’s too dumb to realize this.

Bets hand is on Gunth’s knee. She’s far too smart to risk an accident (you can take that any way you like).

50%?!!? YIKES! Now this is interesting! Bets is a real “take charge” type of lady and more of a business woman than Tiffany. The poor little formerly rich girl could LEARN a thing or two from Gunnny’s new gal pal. H3LL, Tom Farrell, would LOVE a daughter like Bets! Which is why I’m getting the feeling that there IS slim chance that once “the claws are retracted” and they stop giving each other dirty looks after they meet, that Tiffany and Bets could wind up as friends if not business partners.

And with Gunther “sandwiched” in between. All in all NOT a Bad position for ‘Gun’ to be in. ;)

I just hope that Tiffany accepts Bets’ deal. And not instead, use (GAG) Les to take the photos with Tiff modeling the lingerie. We all know where THAT is gonna lead……,

some women repel the outside to gain the inside and others welcome the outside to gain the inside. Which is she? The type A’s are not the easiest for really nice types to get along with. They usually end up into servitude for life for supposed benefits in which will never be balanced. He’s probably better off with the B type that is more reposed and reticent towards the outside letting him handle affairs. But, desperation is willing to make sacrifices no matter the cost or loss.

Tiffany is selling her stuff to make money, I REALLY doubt that she’s going to agree to give half to Bets. The question is whether Gunther will tell Bets he’ll do it himself so she won’t be involved and taking half the proceeds.

And why isn’t Bets black any more?

50% sounds a bit high, but 20% is fair. Especially as most people that put stuff on Ebay charge shipping costs to the customer.

Bets is right. You could quibble about whether 50% is too high, but Tiff expects him to take pictures, post the stuff on his own ebay account, pack and ship it for her – and then just hand her all the money?

That’s not helping a friend, that is someone taking advantage of another.

Would doubt that Bets might be Tiff’s new roommate. Finally I bet Ann is taking all of Tiff’s dad’s money, thus the reason for all the belt tightening being done to Tiff.

Bets likes to aim high. If Tiff wants to be a mogul, why not teach her to make and operate an account?

This is so wrong in so many levels. You don’t help your friends for money. And the 50%? It’s a huge request And is really sad to see how quickly Gunther agreed with Bets. She do this for help Gunther? Help him in what? Nothing ruining friendship like money. Maybe Bets will change her mind knowing about Tiffany’s situation. But right now she’s detestable.

Good for Bets, taking charge. A Friend is not a doormat, and I think Guther REALLY knows that

She needs to understand these are HIS friends, who he’s known for a LOT longer than her. She dates him, the friends come as part of the package. 50% is WAY too much! Bets had better back off.

Why don’t I trust her?

I wonder if Ann and Bets know each other and this is her way of keeping up with Tiffany… she doesn’t want her to get her independence, better to keep her under her thumb. 50% is a ridiculous amount to ask and Gunther should be ashamed for even considering that amount. He is such a wimp to anyone.

“Gun” got awfully quiet in the last panel. Looking at Bets’ arm position, it appears something suddenly came up.

Bets is pointing out that a lot of work is involved – shoot, pack & ship. I think Tiffany always thinks everything should be done for her Bets should point out to Tiffany that Gunther – who has little if any money – should get something. That’s why I like 25%.

I’m guessing that Bets is a little older than Gunther and she’s been around. We don’t know anything yet about her past – or if she has a job. If Bets finally disclosed to Gunther that she had been married for a year or two – I hope that wouldn’t deter Gunther from going for it. Gunther needs a woman with some experience…

Again, she’s right. Tiff wants no part of the work involved but all the profit. I would ask for 35-40% myself, but yeah, it’s fair. She is actually doing “Gun” a major favor. Whether she realizes it or not, Tiffany is using him for her own benefit.

That is a weird neck color. At first I thought it was the Batman logo color, but it’s not … like something bled over.

Tiff expects Gun, Lu, Les, & everyone else to bend over backwards for her 24/7. She rarely thinks of anyone else. It would be nice to see Tiff grow up a bit here.

I’m still trying to figure out how they can take 50% of everything. you get better rates from a consignment store. I think Betts is getting greedy here..

All this is about is transformation of Tiffany and Gunther. They are getting older. They are growing up.

Bets’ business principal: For Gunther, she just gives it away…….all others must pay.

For those who say 50% is too high, she said they would shoot, post, and ship. All of that takes a lot of time and money. 50% is a good deal for Tiffany.

Too bad Bets wasn’t around to save Gunther from practically giving away all his Mom’s expensive furniture back when Les talked him into having that disastrous yard sale. The Gulag would be much better furnished with all the additional money they’d have made selling at Bets’ recommendations. This girl is the mogul Tiffany says she wants to be.

Bets appears to be the kind of entrepreneur that Tiff wishes she could be, herself. Might this actually turn into an alliance, over time?

What if it turns out that Bets has a backstory that just happens to have an episode of being done wrong by a certain evil stepmother?

With many friends who do eBay trading, I have never heard the site’s name used as a verb. Is that maybe a SoCal thing only? Who does that?

Tiffany’s things are probably worth more than what Bets is used to eBaying for friends. Not downgrading Bets here, but being realistic about Tiffany’s previously unrealistic lifestyle. Maybe a smaller % than 50% would still be fair.

I don’t think they want to associate with the kind of people who buy used lingerie off the internet.

The more I see of Bets, the less I like her. For a new friend, too jealous and controlling. “We’ll” take 50 percent?

After years of discussion here about hooking up Gunther with Tiffany or Luann, I can understand Gunther wanting someone as nerdy and tech minded as himself. But based solely on what Greg has shown us on-camera, it seems the only thing he and Bets have in common is Star Wars. You can’t go very far on that alone.

Maybe having Bets and Tiffany in the same room will allow Gunther to see the two comparatively. (Or maybe Greg is steering Gunther into his next train wreck du jour.)

I’m liking Bets more and more. :o)

This is another interesting twist in the Gunther-Bets development. She now appears to have some business/financial savvy. She is also modeling for him what many Gunther fans have been pleading for; someone to teach him to consider his wants and needs along with others’. (Some here call it testicular development.) Maybe Greg has finally listened to us!?!?

She has also demonstrated a steady demeanor and that she doesn’t “fly off the handle” at every little upset. Also that she’s willing to overlook some of Gunther’s weak spots is favor of he numerous positive qualities.

Given these two Bets’ qualities she just may wind up as a friend with Tiff and (as I offered yesterday) help her on the road to moguldom and freedom from Ann Awful.

YIKES!!! Wouldn’t that be a major shift in the Gunther-Tiffany relationship!!!!

I’m hoping Tiffany makes Gunther realize that Bets is no good

To all those that think Bets is being greedy: Hold on a minute. Gunther does all the work, assumes all the financial risk, and Tiffany reaps all the reward. She made Les a better deal at the Fuse than that. Much as I do like Tiff (and I do like Tiff), one of her flaws is that she has never learned to take others’ needs and emotions into account. She is trying to gain business acumen. Bets may just be a step along that way.

eBay is a lot of work and Amazon has conditioned everyone to expect free shipping, but shipping time and materials are a substantial commitment/expense. Given the discussion about costs, 50% sounds totally reasonable…50% for Tiff, 25% for shipping, 25% for Bun.

Per Kymberleigh above and a few other people here from Monday, a couple of hours researching alternatives that specialize in clothes sound like they would be well-spent. Good mogul training to think of that and put that time in.

Sales site commission, packaging, and postage are going to be about 35%. 15% is close to free labor.

There’s nothing wrong with helping a friend without turning a profit. Kinda the definition of “friend” isn’t it? If it becomes an on-going thing, then you talk about a split.

She’s a bad news opportunist.

Good support to get Gunther past being a doormat.

If he wants to only not lose money but help Tiff then he can use the info he just learned and explain to Tiff what the usual is, but then say that he will instead only keep enough to cover his expenses.

Either way, Gunther is regularly expected to lose, and he might consider Tiffany a good enough friend to be happy to do so, but in that case Tiffany should consider him a good enough friend to not want him to lose by helping her. (Hey, that is why people lacking funds so often do chores to help those who assist them monetarily when their own funds are tight.)

Of course, maybe Tiffany will surprise them and figure out a way to compensate Gunther (and Bets if she does work on the project). Manicures and pedicures?

Gotta Love Bets! Friends can too easily become moochers. Bets’ deal is pretty fair. Ebay work is actually pretty time consuming!

Could be that Bets is trying to torpedo the help Tiffany project. That’s a huge cut. Especially for friends.

Perhaps—just maybe she and Tiff can work out a business mentor relationship. I would really like Tiff to learn and grow.

Arggggh, sometimes I HATE GoComics!! I left a long, thoughtful comment this morning, and I am positive I hit the comment tab, but it is nowhere to be found. Suffice it to say that I am positive about Bets and Gunther, I don’t think there will be a catfight when she meets Tiffany, quite the contrary, and the terms of the deal? Remember this is Luannverse. Tiffany can use all the help she can get, Gunther NEEDS a relationship, and here we have a hot, smart, determined, girl who obviously likes him a lot, and has HIS interests in heart, and wants to help them because she likes him. It’s only trollish human nature to wish to put him down in misery, than feel a little bit of triumph and love. That is basically my take today.

Okay, this is where Bets is definitely losing it with me. Is she related to Ann somehow??? 50% is outrageous!!

I also think 50% is too high. Maybe 25%, considering that Tiff probably has a lot of expensive stuff, not a lot of cheap stuff. And this is not just doing an item or two, but more like a hundred items or two hundred, whatever (5,000?). That could be a full time job for days or weeks getting her stuff sold and out the door. That could be way more than anybody should do for free.

Aww. How cute: Gunny helps Tiff; Bets helps Gunther. If this works out well, everyone might gain something on the deal!

Given the sheer volume of clothes Tiffany probably intends to sell, the work of shooting all the pictures and posting them online could be significant, and if shipping is included in the work there are costs associated with that, and time spent monitoring the site to check for purchases, taking down names and addresses, packing boxes, trips to the post office etc. Tiffany probably has a lot expensive name brand clothing. They should be compensated in some way if they are going to do all of that.

As Bogey would say, “This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” First, Bets meets Tiff, takes a liking to her, lowers her share of the profits, names the sale “Tiffany’s Secret”, and brings in the working capital. Next, she masterminds a big league con to bring down Ann Eiffel and open Tom’s eyes. Finally, flushed with victory, she takes Gunther to incredible new levels of celebration. All accomplished with only minor help from her sisters, Butts and Bratz.

Gunther needs help. Tiffany is using him.

In all this that Tiff is wanting, I think Gunther is smart enough to do it on his own without Bets – in the world of comics, I think she is just out to make an easy buck, Gunther and Tiff could manage without her
