I’m glad to see Brad and Shannon back. Along with Toni and TJ, they’re some of the most interesting characters in the strip. I hope Lulu gets involved too.

Bernice will come in and solve the problem and then Brad and Shannon will decide they prefer Bernice to Lulu.

Looks like Casa DeGroot (And the Gulag and the dog park and Fuse) will be the focal point settings for story arcs for the foreseeable future, within the VAST but ever Shrinking, Luanniverse.

Shannon is not not a problem child. It seems like Luann could have a little more compassion.

As a kid I loved PB and honey, and PB and mayo.

Ah. I’d not let kids Shannon’s age make sandwiches. Not worth the mess. Wait until she’s a few years older when her fine motor skills and patience improve. Around 8 years old. My boys started making their own PB&J sandwiches around that age with little mess – mostly bread crumbs and gooey knife left in the sink. I was OK with that.

“Shannon is here”. Three words, second in panic only to the three words seen in a mall, “Men’s Room Closed.”

Welp, let’s find out why he brought it there. There’s usually no reason to speak of. At least she’s not back at Bwad’s house dwinking paint. Good to see Bwad’s parenting skills—see how great he is at sitting back and watching Shannon do stupid things while almost half asleep? Wow. I can’t wait to see more of that.

Bradley Degroot is not paying attention to the situation, in the panel #3 he looks despondent and disconnected.

And Lulu’s snide remark went over “its” head. Fortunately.

The little girls eyebrows are way too big. Is that to contribute to her demonic personality? I still suspect her mother has the initials A. E.

One of my favorite things at breakfast is to make cinnamon toast, coat it with a thick layer of peanut butter, use a fork to make little zen garden – like grooves in the peanut butter (being careful not to go to the edge), then filling the grooves with strong bootstrap molasses.

There’s no place like home….Even former ones.

Brad’s keeping Shannon’s fingers out of the paint and her ears out range of the neighbors who are probably yelling expletives. TJ is probably in a bad mood over his casserole catastrophe and doesn’t have his usual reserve of patience for Shannon.

A bunch of snarky old farts here, I’m one but I try not to be snarky, try to have outgrown it mostly. My question is why is Toni painting the bedroom. Shannon is a cute little bundle of energy IMHO.

You and Toni might as well take it up with Shannon’s FINO and adopt the kid already, Bwad. She sees you more than her own parent anyway.

Isn’t Shannon kind of old for baby talk? She didn’t used to talk like that.

How old is Shannon? Seems to me she is about 8 if she is making sandwiches. But her speech is comes across like she is 3. I am not trying to stir the pot just confused.

Brad, TJ and Toni. One big happy family. I guess having Shannon around makes things less stressful.

Contrary to popular belief, Shannon is not actually chaos.

Shannon is the adorable little princess of chaos ♡. She just invented the sandwich that all dentists will love. Sad to see Brad so down. But I’m happy to see him and Luann together ♡.

Just wanna share the lunacy.

Two things. Lu isn’t calling Shannon an it … Brad says he is escaping the chaos and after Lu looked at the sandwich, she said you brought it here … or you brought the chaos here. She never called Shannon an it. And secondly, uncle Bwad? I always though she just said Bwad and Aunt Toni and never referred to him as uncle.

Is Shannon a permanent resident of Brad and Toni’s home or is her father still in charge of her undetermined whereabouts.?

A PB&J with mustard and topped with Whipped Cream in a can. Mmmm, I think.

And here we are. Still at the DeGroot household. Who will show up next? Who will show up next week? Why aren’t Bwad and Toni fighting wildfires? And, finally…

Because slacker deadbeat Jonah can’t raise his own dang kid…. I’ve seen it before in real life.

Nice to see the writers of this comic have a child wasting food. COVID has caused an estimated 30 million Americans to lose their jobs, there are lines of food, and this comic has a spoilt child wasting food. This is known as solidarity for the unemployed.

Shannon’s lisp is getting worse. They need to either portray her speaking normally for a child her age or show her going to a speech therapist. Its really old, really annoying and not even a little bit cute.

Oh boy. A setup for a week of hilarity with the brat.

This setup makes about as much sense as the dog park setup. How do you even burn a casserole?

So Toni and TJ are cooking, doing laundry and working on the house? And all Brad has to do is spend time with Shannon, who likes him? Seems like Brad got the better deal.

Many people put 2 or 4 Tablespoons of jelly on a PBJ sandwich. Jelly is mostly sugar and it is not any better than what Shannon is putting on her sandwich.

Interesting. At first glance, it would appear that we’re casting shade on Toni. THAT I was not expecting.

Interesting, as others have pointed out, TJ and Toni are working together – Brad’s the one with babysitting duty. But it is, as locake puts it, the better end of the deal.

All in all, Shannon is my favorite character. Maybe she’ll take Fay’s place, now that she’s been apparently written out of the strip.

It also occurs to me that the point of the last Ann Eiffel arc may well have been to write Tiffany out of the strip!

Don’t know what to say about the apparent changes going on in this strip. For me, the strength of this strip has always been its supporting cast.

Maybe Shannon calling Luann “*Lulu*” will be G&K’s way of drawing her back into the strip.

Remember: Luann’s best moments were when she was with Fay. Minus Fay, Luann has pretty much been a net “minus” to the strip.

So, I guess we’ll just have to wait it out.

Uh – Oh. Another “G” rated week featuring Shannon. The only one I liked was Luann eating the cookie in front of Shannon because Shannon was acting like a brat demanding a cookie. If we’re stuck with Shannon this week, I hope Luann can show some muscle and maturity for Shannon’s long term benefit.

This one is a real gem of a kid, so blaming her is more a reality in a comic strip fantasy.

I like Shannon too. And the “Lulu” thing…….if Luann doesn’t like it, she can speak up and say so.

Can Shannon PLEASE stop calling Brad, “Bwad?” She’s way too old for that. It’s just not cute anymore.

For all you folks who are dissing Brad because he’s not painting with Toni – maybe Toni is just plain better at it than he is. Maybe the painting wouldn’t get done because they’d spend too much time playing with each other instead of painting. And maybe, just maybe, Toni wanted to have a little time away from Shannon for a while.

Brad should have left Shannon at home!

This was a better alternative than leaving Shannon at home to help with the painting and laundry and cooking!

It’s like Brad’s just given up. Toni’s never gonna say no to Jonah, they can’t afford to not live with TJ, and he can’t even escape to the ’rents without Shannon in tow. Might as well just sit there despondent while Shannon uses up every condiment in the house…

Bernice the bore and now Shannon the terror. I was hoping: Jack would return to check Monstro and Bernice would get all twitterpated. Then Jack briefly acknowledges her and talks mainly to Luann. Jack asks Luann out which devastates Bernice. Bernice then either needs to crash with Gun and Les, or ask Tiffany if she could stay at the mansion. Sounds better than what’s going on here.
