Shannon Wins!

I wonder what Monday’s new story arc will bring…..

Whereas Shannon’s father Jonah and aunt Toni both have a single N; uncle Brad has zero.

Wow, Greg – even Shannon comes out ahead of Luann.

Glad to see Luann back trying mentor mode.

She’s partly right, Luann!

Typical kid logic.

If that look on Luann’s face in the last panel doesn’t say “why do I bother?” then nothing does.

When my niece was a little girl, I let her cheat at a kid’s Monopoly game and let her pretend she won. But even so, she still didn’t make me feel sick the way Shannon does. (I can’t wait till my favorite commentator comments on my lighthearted comment.)

Luann is a horribly written lead character as she is always the punching bag.

I think three n’s is about the max in any name. Barring Shirley Ellis song Name Game.

Not a whole lot to this Sunday strip, to be honest. But it did make me smile nonetheless. So I guess this was one of the occasions where the less is more approach works…

If the kid wants to have some real fun, she should scrub and clean the toilets.

Auntie Luann had a “ball” doing it last week.

And if Shannon is really nice, we’ll give her crayons and let her “organize” Nancy’s newly indexed “paperwork.” :-)

Shannon is very competitive. She looks so happy to have beaten Luann in the “N” battle! Luann could be a great teacher, she always tries to stimulate children’s curiosity.

Is Luann trying to teach letters and numbers to Shannon? If so, she failed miserably. The kid is all about winning, not learning. I wonder if she’ll become another “Agnes” in school.

This reminds me of when my granddaughter was little. Her name is Lilly. Someone asked her if her name had 1 L or 2. She looked at them with a puzzling face and replied 3. :)
