It pretty much describes the last six week, a blank slate!

You studdied dance; right, Tiffany? Start tapping!

I’ve been meaning to ask, why does anyone need a brand?

A blank slate?

Brands are used in companies, College Football team has a brand.

Right. Perfect. Luann brand is a blank canvas. Perfect. Done. Checked a box, BATUBS

What th’? Is Luann emphasizing her blank state? Can we hope that this week is the last week of this story?

Very brave to ridicule the blandness of your own comic invention. Years ago Luann had a lot of character. It’s like the strip is complaining “I cleaned up my character and now I can’t do a think with her.”

I still have faith in Luann – but it’s time for her to fly from the DeGroot nest.

Puddles looks very happy at their discomfiture. And Luann is justly proud of her brandlessness.

That’s right. You can’t brand a person. You can only brand yourself, and Luann is showing just how she sees herself. She isn’t ready to decide what she is going to do with her life, but for now she will do a little of this and a little of that.

Luann used to have a brand… wholesome, funny, good student, gaga over Aaron etc.

Ever since they jumped to the college years, they’ve made her boring.

I hope they can change her for the better. I would suggest that they all start going to Mooney U and maybe she finds an exciting new love interest for herself.

Results: Tiffany and Bets have too much time on their hands.

In other words at this point, Luann is a “Blank Slate.”

As they ALL are. ;-)

It could be more than a blank slate. It could be endless possibilities.

That blank sheet should show Luann on water skis jumping over a shark followed by Daffy Duck stuttering out, "Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-That’s all Folks!”

Maybe starting next Monday, we could have three weeks of Gunther complaining about Les tracking dirt into their creepy little house?

Brandless!

Well, ‘nothing’ is better than the hypercritical and insulting things she was being framed as by the others.

I’ve been enjoying the arc without commenting. It’s so nice to see two legacy characters and a fully established lead character, Bets, have a a funny arc, but today’s panels finally got me to comment. Great Luann!! You are a blank slate, full of potential and possibility. Life will construct your brand. Seeing Bets and Tiffany so close is good too, and.pregnant with dramatic and hilarity ensuing (there now I said it) craziness.

I was going to leave a comment about how this is an old idea and that Chuck Connors did it first in “Branded”, but then realized that no one would catch the reference..

Please. Let this be the punchline. End it.

I’m developing brands that’ll hopefully be my claim to fame, my registry to celebrity status and my ladder to success.

They need a brand so others can ask why they need a brand. Make sense? No? Neither does this arc.

It’s a white board.

Work out one ‘brand’ and when/if it doesn’t fit— wipe off and start over.

LuAnn’s brand – The Rocking LD, or the Bar LD, or the Slash LD, …..

Luann – Empty Square Inc.

There’s a marker hanging from the side so it’s not intended to be a permanent blank slate. She plans to write on it but what will she write? Will Bets and Tiff have anything to offer?

That’s some heavily processed white bread right there. Might as well be glue.

Can’t wait for this idiotic storyline to end.

I never noticed it before, but isn’t it interesting that Puddles’ lower jaw seems to be directly part of his belly? (Just hoping to give a little break from all that talk about hating this arc) :)

Good move Luann. Put these two ninnies on the spot. Make them realize what a dumb idea they came up with, after hurling a pile of insults on you.

Still think Luann isn’t sincerely counting on them to help her?

I like that LuAnn is being positive about herself and proactive in defending herself. Been awhile since we’ve seen that.

A serious business lesson in there if the duo were listening. Find someone who both wants and needs your product, it’s a lot easier than trying to con someone into buying who likes what they’ve already got.

Please! Let’s bury this story arc and never speak of it again.

Well at least she’s acquiring a figure.

I started reading Luann from the beginning. It was a lot funnier then.

Dogs are allowed in the dorm?

Nothing defines Luann better than a completely blank vision board.

This VERY LONG RUNNING arc just continues to get stranger, IMO:

A. Initially, this was all about B & T completing a class assignment.

B. Then it turned into B & T attempting to convince Luann of her having a boring personality, lack of “brand” and just basically that she was for intents and purposes, rather worthless.

C. Then, it focused on Luann pushing back against those suggestions from B & T.

D. But, then it showed a BRIEF acquiescence by Luann in terms of being “rebranded” in some fashion.

E. But, as B & T further progressed, THEY became frustrated and seemed…. this week to be working on rebranding “Batubs” into SOMETHING.

F. Now, the go back and Luann is showing them an empty dry erase board with a heading of “The Luann Brand”.

Sincerely, to me, this whole arc seems unfocused and having little, if any point to it. What are we to infer from Luann’s dry erase board? Is she perhaps:

1. Expecting B & T to fill the dry erase board with all their machinations of how to reinvent Luann?

2. Making a statement that states firmly that she is a “blank slate” and is d@mn proud of it?

Any wagers on IF this arc may actually end on Saturday?

See, perfect, the blank slate it is!

Maybe she’s about to fill it with what she perceives her brand to be in front of them. Doubtful.

Luann did what Betts, and, Tiff, couldn’t, came up with the “Luann Brand” A blank slate, ready to be filled with her own thoughts, and, experiences.

Luann, you need to demand royalties for your contribution to their company. And get it in writing…

Luann outsmarted Betts and Tiff.

This story arc just keeps getting funnier and funnier. I hope it goes on for another month! This is what I’m gonna recommend to folks to read who’ve never read Luann! Almost as funny as her bedroom being messy! Yuks galore!

Luann should be an equal partner in this company

Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean the path is not there.

Bets and Tiffany better go back to baby sitting and mowing lawns

Hmm…Bets has a different outfit on today while Tiffany has what she was wearing in yesterday’s strip…

So it looks to me like maybe Luann didn’t know that Bets and Tiffany were trying to sell her a bill of goods and she is happy that she was able to brand herself successfully.

Will this torture ever end.

Y’all should get some brand new outfits. Your clothes are a strange brand.

Luann was waiting for them full of dreams and hopes, she even tidied up the room… They can’t tell her they don’t have any ideas for her! If they give up and don’t do anything it would truly be a total failure, one to feel guilty about every time it comes back to mind. They HAVE to come up with something! Try to give her a new look spending the rest of the day talking to each other. Maybe this way, stheir friendship will strengthen and it will be a nice afternoon between friends.
