That display board looks familiar. OH right, boss had it on his office wall. I didn’t bother to stay long. He made few good decisions so the successes were few and far between. Last I hears the company ceased to exist. Only good decision ( for him ) was to take the money
The PR Department should get cracking on covering up or, better yet, distorting all the failures and calling them successes. Even if the CEO is a drool bucket wearing dithering idiot, some people will buy it. Too many… Sad but true.
That’s why the fat cats at the top of major corporations always make the big bucks, because they work 100, 200, 500 times harder than the pawns at the bottom.
Corporations focus on profit statements (quarterly or annual).
Politicians focus on the next election (2 or 4 years away).
Unions focus on where their members’ next meals are coming from (weeks or months).
Religion ignores the present and focuses on the hereafter (eternity).
The only human enterprise that’s paying attention to the time frame where we’ll be spending most of our lives (and our children will be spending all of theirs) is science.

If we did well I take full responsibility, but if we did poorly it’s all your fault.

I know of several companies that have profit sharing. One neighbor received as much in his year end share as his total earnings for the year.

Sadly, there is no connection between “Me” (the Boss) and “You” (everyone else).

Yeah, that’s a successful company – still using charts instead of presentation software.

I’d love a job like that. I screw up everything, then to get rid of me, they have to give me a huge payment.
Know what’s funny? These corporations keep repeating the craziness.
I have a plan to motivate the top executives. ‘’If you fail, we’ll throw you out the boardroom window.’’

That all looks good on paper until the board fires the CEO and he has to pop that golden parachute. What a waste of money.
