It felt good to get my hair cut today. I was able to wear my mask through the whole deal. For safety sake, I went home and stripped off my clothes, took a shower and put on clean ones.
I used to have a hairstylist who was really good. When she decided to leave the barbershop to work at a salonI followed her there. She was so popular that when I called to get an appointment I’d have to wait several weeks. It got to be a pain to have to wait weeks, so I stopped going to her, or anyone else for that matter. I haven’t sat in a barber’s chair in over 30 years.
I understand the lag with comic strips; but most barbers and salons are now open. They probably could have remained open, since by nature they have to sanitize anyway. Just restrict the number of customers or something.
Over 100,000 dead people in the US. Over 360,000 worldwide. Not one of them died because they couldn’t get a haircut. Focus, people. Focus. On important stuff.
I got my nearly six months haircut a couple days ago. Felt good in this warm weather. I posted a before and after in my Facebook using a pirate wig with attached headband I got in the last post halloween sales as the before.
I’m an Army brat. My whole life I’ve worn a high and tight cut, with the exception of about a year and a half after I had surgery on my neck, when I wore my hair slightly long in the back to cover the scar while it healed. The past two months have been crazy-making for me. I look like a refugee from the 70s.
Those healthy young people who believe that the Trump plague is no match for their immune system need to remember several things.
1. You are infecting people when you have no symptoms at all. This includes your family and people who actually matter to other people even if they don’t to you.
2. When you overestimate your immune system, or underestimate the plague, you wind up competing for a respirator and other materials needed by those who developed the disease because they were essential workers.
3. You are endangering the medical workers who have to care for you and the people that you infect. They are already risking their lives. What right have you to add to their jeopardy because you need a haircut?
4. Many viruses remain within the cells of your body. We don’t know that this is one of them, but it’s not unlikely. They wait there until your body’s immune system is no longer strong enough to keep them in check. That could happen when you are older, or in the car wreck you have next week. Then, with their new assistance, they come back in full force.
My son is an RN. He treats Trump plague patients, and has watched them suffer greatly, then often die. He has assured me that there is no possibility of taking this thing too seriously. If you think a mask is a problem, you are not thinking this thing through clearly.
i use to cut my husband’s hair for 23 years and i have been cutting my own hair for 40 years; all you need is a comb, scissors, a pair of clippers and a hand held mirror to do the back.
When my Barber increased the price of a haircut to $20. I bought some hair cutters and now my wife cuts it. Turned out she does a better job in half the time.
Cut my own few weeks ago. Not great not too terrible except for the bare-is patch in back where I got a little too close with the electric ‘shave your neck’ tool. .
What is it with human hair? You don’t see other animals going around with this never ceasing hair growth. Man, you guys have it lucky as I swear women’s hair grows a foot a day. The more you cut the faster it grows. The more it grows the more you pay to be cut; yada, yada, yada.

Pig, offer to put Rat’s hair in a ponytail – then tie it off with a nice big pink bow.

Mostly bald, so it’s a five minute job with a #5 blade. My mom bought the trimmer in 1948, back when Sears meant quality.
