Geezing involves belting your pants ABOVE your belly, listening with one hand behind your ear and, mostly, reminiscing about how you used to do it when YOU were in charge. For extra credit, complain about how several modern trends are truly troubling. Like not reading the newspapers. And every single tube of toothpaste having some kind of whitening agent. And advertising all kinds of “private” things right there on the TV.

Geez, I guess I’m a geezer, too.

Teach me to geeze, I don’t know how. What am I missing?

I only appear to be one. I’m one of them geeze guise guys. Jeez!

Hmmm… I think of myself as more of an ‘old fart’, so I’m unsure if geezer sounds like a step up or a step down for me. ???

Is Geezing the same as telling dad jokes only older?

I turned seventy in May. I proudly embrace geezerhood.

Geezer meant an odd fellow, especially one in disguise. But the odd part may have been the more important element. Which is why it was not enough to simply say, “Geezer” to mean someone like Earl, you needed to say “Old geezer” to distinguish a young one from an old one. I think Earl demonstrates his credentials for geezerhood in this strip.

Great, now I have a mix of Earl’s words and the old Dr. Pepper ad jingle…“I’m a geezer, he’s a geezer, she’s a geezer, we’re a geezer, wouldn’t you like to be a geezer, too?”

Well, old friend, this senior-senior isn’t hard either. You know, with all our wit, wisdom, and experience, we could fix our country’s problems … but, time for a nap.

Once you use “whippersnapper” in a sentence, you are an old geezer.

It’s ok as long as you’re not a “wheezer geezer”…(think smoking)

It takes a lot of experiences and years of practice to be able to “geeze” effectively. Youngsters aren’t capable.
