And then they’re the walk to the kitchen counter to make the sandwich, the walk back to the fridge to put the ham and cheese back, the walk to the sink to drop the dirty dishes for the wife to clean…
It depends upon how far the fridge is from the couch. Three-quarters of a mile would mean a mile and a half walk, round trip, whenever you wanted a cold one.
So husband was out of town on an Honor Flight to DC and texted me to ask what I’d been doing. Told him I’d gone for a mile walk because the weather was beautiful. His reply, “On purpose!” It actually did make me laugh. Need to walk more.

Sure it does, consider all the weight he has to carry around.

According to my smart watch, walking to and from the fridge counts.

Well, and since when do women think, Opal?
I’m sorry, but I draw the line at personal attacks.
I mean, sometimes I’m watching TV upstairs. Up and down, every single time I need another beer, and/or salted snacks.
By the end of the day, I feel kinda dizzy and light-headed, not to mention somewhat sleepy.

He’s excercising his eyes reading the paper, Opal!

The obligation to walk is a great benefit of having a dog

Well maybe he should start doing some 12 ounce curls

Whenever I feel like exercising I just lie down until the feeling goes away.

It’s not walking TO the fridge that’s the problem… its what you carry away.
Mark Tully Premium Member 28 days ago
It counts as a stand!,!

Interval training is much better than walking at a steady pace.

Jax Dog lies up against me like that. But if my wife goes to another room he will jump up and follow. He feels he must protect her everywhere.

Then you might as well move the couch into the kitchen. You’ll be able to keep an eye (nose) on the fresh cookies as well.

DOES TOO!!! – best thing about my new house is it’s twice as far from the fridge to the bedroom as it was in the old house. 10,000 steps a day bro!!

But I’m sure he also walks to the bathroom (a lot)

Me too, that’s about all I get then there is the trip to the bathroom and back.

My minimum number of steps per day is 4500, that includes walking to the fridge for water, snacks, iced tea, leftovers… and I’m hungry.
