Wasn’t it always thus? “Everyone is equal, just some are more equal than others” ~ George Orwell ~ Animal Farm, Not a direct quote but it’s too early in the morning to look it up….
Yes – love this one! Reminds me recently how I was reading something on my town’s web site in regards to personal property taxes on motor vehicles. It was some blah-blah-blah for the “privilege” of having a motor vehicle. Yeah – their “privilege” to live their privileged lives.
It actually makes a degree of sense when you think about it. You can see the goals by where the money is spent. “Follow the money” would include source and usage. Some think it means “follow and try to get some.”
Oh, man…is this cartoon dead on! Our whole government is made up of millionaires and billionaires who who have lost touch with the reality which is “us”. The citizens who put their asses into government in the first place.

Well, sooner or later you’re going to run out of “luxury” if you keep taxing them like this!

It does seem to take a lot of our money to keep the government safe and air conditioned.

If the king isn’t happy then nobodies happy. In ID even if the king is happy, nobody else is happy.
