Hi Orbster family. I was reminded today that I have not updated you on Stormy’s progress, and I apologize for that. She’s been so touch and go. Apparently she’s got a weak immune system (possibly FIV+ but too young to know for sure) and while she is responding to the antibiotics they aren’t working as well as they should. The docs still have her there at the clinic and they are keeping a very close eye on her. She’s tripod hopped her way into everyone’s hearts. Keep her in head boops please. She likes them.
I’m going to be a mommy again! My niece sent me a picture of an orange kitty (my fave) who had been attacked by a dog. He’s at the Vet School in Pullman WA. He has to have his eye removed. She said she would do the surgery for free if it was for sure he would be adopted. He has some infections from the dog bites so she will get those under control before she removes the eye and neuters him. I wish I could post pictures on here, (not that I know how to do that) so you all can see how cute he is.I’m thinking of naming him Cheddar or Colby Jack because he’s orange and white. My last orange kitty was named Butterbean. I can’t wait!
An entire town? All we see is the same handful of characters.Well, all those who watch it see is the same handful of characters. I never watch it, so I don’t see any of them.
I knew a photographer a long time ago in passing, he went to our High School. He never went anywhere without his camera and this was well before digital pictures. His film budget must have been astronomical. Always wondered if he made a career of it.
Such a nice Saturday strip – doubting Elvis, as always; Kit Chase (dang it all, Natasha, stop blocking the screen, the rest of us can’t see!); Goldie taking photos, and the open last panel. All great touches, as we have come to expect from Georgia.
Those two wee coffee cups on the ironing board for Violet & Natasha! (A doll house tea set went missing from the attic in the Big Pink House years ago…) How sweet is that?
Dear EVERYONE! Thanks so, SOOOOO much for listening & caring & letting me vent about all the shazy crit that’s been my life over the last 3 months or so.
I have no idea what the kerfuffle was about the other day (& I’m not going back to find out), but I hope all the ruffled fur & feathers have been smoothed & all the hurts kissed & made better.
Long live the Mega-Orb! Especially now, when half my family-by-choice have gone off to the Great Callahan’s in the Sky & the other half are falling apart in one way or another…much love, (((((HUGGZ))))), purrrrrrrrrrz, boops, headbonks, & all the other good stuffs to all who help keep this the happiest place on Teh Innert00bz™!
Waiting for the official time to post, but I am enjoying a post race slice of pizza. Time was 1:48 and the Woman took third place among wheelchair racers.
I’m thinking about using a picture of Pandora as my avatar for a while, but I know some people are bothered by snakes. If it will bother anyone, please let me know and I won’t use it. I know fear of snakes can be extreme (I used to work with someone who would almost faint if someone wore a snakeskin belt or boots) so if it will cause distress, just let me know.
We finally got an opening for Scamp at a local adoption place, and took him there this morning. He settled right in, charmed the socks off the staffer. We’ll miss him, but at least we know he will now find his forever home. Waffle (our Elvis cat) will now calm down a little.
MrrCavity is doing well. Shows up frequently for his Fistful of Crunchies, and A Few Crunchies More. (Yes, he has a starring role in The Good, the Bad, and the Feral.)
Fierce (Marie named him/her) is our new feral kitten. Marie is working on gaining trust so we can betray him/her to the vet for snip, chip, and clip.
I really need to get to work on those cat shelters!
A couple of months ago someone posted a link from YouTube about one of the restoration guys inadvertently restoring (rescuing) an ill cat that wandered to his shop. Andre has posted an update on his new friend Alex :) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ5SuDNLdzg
I love how this ties into last week by showing us that while we were watching “Our IX Lives”, the boys were watching it too! Lovely continuity, as always.

The theme of Our IX Lives courtesy of Monty Python
Sometimes life can be bad
And life can make you sad
And Yummy Treats only make it worse
When the catnip all has withered,
And trouble comes in a blizzard,
Always Look on the a-Mewsing side of life!
…….
Though you’d like to run away,
You can take a nap all day
And you can purr and sleep in the sun
Or you can ride with your companion
All through Laundry Canyon
Just laugh and purr and take a swipe at your Human
Remember Always Look on the a-Mewsing Side of Life!
That’s right, Always Look on the a-Mewsing Side of Life!
