And since the more cerebral of us refuse to even contemplate the question of whether Brad’s quiff could exist in any possible world, we will continue to ignore the TV and discuss one of The Great Questions Of The Ages.
Brad’s quiff always reminds me of a guy who worked at the PO iin the old neighborhood. It was the worst and least convincing toupee ever. Dark brown, styled in an Elvis pompadour, and perched on top of a head of otherwise sparse grey. Sad.
Puckmosis: So, Your Majesty, I though you should be apprised of Snowfall Braggart and his goings on.
Queen Catshetsut the Golden: Yes, his behavior is indeed worrisome, but we still must be gracious to our visitors.
Puck: That is so, Your Majesty. With your permission I would like to introduce Kit-Chaser and his brother, Bandito, of the Medjay Police.
Queen Cat: Welcome, Kit and Bandito. I have been apprised of your concerns. What are your main concerns with Snowfall?
Kit: Your Majesty, Snowfall’s daughter, Annie, are in love. Snowfall does not approve, and does his best to keep us apart. There have been several mishaps that I had to prove I was not to blame.
Bandito: And I have reason to believe his henchmen, User-Brad, and Dr. Stealth-Mitt, are also up to no good.
Queen Cat: It does appear we need to keep a weather eye on a few of the less reputable members of the It’s a Wonderful Nine Lives Acting Company.
Puck: With your approval, Your Majesty, I would also like to enlist the aid of an old friend: Ishaq the Cat in the Unusual Headgear.
Marie and I are in Indianapolis to see Mac perform in The Nutcracker. He is the Prince this year. Meanwhile, back at home, I am sure that the cats are streaming the Pawmark channel nonstop while Hamilton A. Cat provides a steady stream of snacks. Only Holmes will stand apart, aloof and inscrutable, as always.
Oh for crying out loud, can we just get on to the sappy sex scene, followed by the awkward next morning to be closely followed by the jealous fight scene between the ex and current love interest, whose fight will make the female lead angry and disappointed in the current love interest, while secretly reveling in the fact that she was fought over, while the rest of the world segues into a financial crisis for which the new love interest will come to the rescue with a solution, there by causing the females lead, to come running back to the new love interest, an in the process thwart the schemes of the old love interest, who in fact was not a genuine love interest at all, but rather was the conniving villain who was at the bottom of all of the financial peril all along.
It’s the typical Lifetime, Hallmark channel plot line, be they humans, felines or any other such creature.
Note to those contemplating raising a family: Don’t name a child “Brad.” In my entire life, I’ve never known one who wasn’t something of a cad, or worse. YMMV, and for any Brad or Bradley who reads this, I hope it does.
Tommybaum shirt is ordered!! Now I head outside to finally get my Christmas lights and decorations put up! Darn snow and cold last weekend put me behind schedule
don’t know if this is a bad sign or what, but BCN usually drops on the Arcamax site around 11.45 p.m. Central time. it is now midnight and it still hasn’t shown up, yet several other comics have appeared. hopefully gocomics will fare better.
That’s probably still to come. We saw that on Sunday, which I think was supposed to be a commercial for the upcoming special showing various things that are going to happen.
The other comics have updated. What’s wrong here. I know Georgia used 3 weeks of bereavement. Was somebody supposed to plug in reruns and forgot, or did Georgia rush to make sure this story continued all month and somebody failed to fold the new Sunday strips in?
Fr. O’Kittery looks annoyed in panel 3, like he’s heard enough. If he’s anything like the Irish Catholic priests of my youth, the two fiends had best watch out for their own good. The late Fr. Folliard, the pastor of my old church when I was growing up, was a standout rugby player and boxer before joining the priesthood. Gave me a few boxing lessons that cut short the grade school bullying I’d put up with.
Still no Sunday so I left Georgia a message through Patreon. Still very early on the west coast, so if the problem is one she can fix it will probably be quite some time yet.
I had insomnia last night and was awake from 2 am to 4:30 am. I was going to get up and read BCN, but finally fell back to sleep around 4:30. Good thing because I would have really been disappointed. Hope it shows up soon.
I’m glad I thought of going to yesterdays comic to find out what was going on! “Text from Mittens” another Cat Comic has been missing for a couple of days too. I thought maybe the artist was ill or something, but maybe there is something more going on????
I’m in Honolulu, Hawaii and our Honolulu StarAdvertiser newspaper carries the Sunday version of BCN. I just looked at the comics section and a new BCN comic is there! So apparently the problem is that GoComics cannot load the strip onto the website.
Almost 6 p.m. in Ellettsville. On the way back from storage, drinking hot coffee and listening to WFIU where Mark Rivers and Scott Detrow on All Things Considered are debating what is a Christmas movie. Still no Sunday BCN.
Still no BCN, but on a happier, OT note…. I just had the most wonderful Bison Ribeye steak dinner. I made a nice reduction sauce with pomegranate juice, along with a bit of the juices left in the pan….. tiny bit of onion, tarragon and finished with some butter. Bison is always lovely, but this was otherworldly good. I also had some cheesy potatoes to go with it. The girls love their cheese. Girls can’t have any of the steak, due to the tarragon though. But I plan on slow roasting some chicken later this week. I’ll keep it kitty free though.
I wonder if Georgia is even aware there’s a problem. She may have been busy decorating the house today (we’ve seen the photos of her amazing decor) and hasn’t in assuming today would be a rerun
Georgia just posted the following on Patreon: Hello, everyone!
Ora Zella seems to have also noticed there is no comic on GoComics today, from her expression lol! I’m so sorry for this. I’m not 100% certain what happened, and since the offices are understandably closed for the weekend I don’t have a way to ask. However, this would have been the first Sunday classic rerunning from when I took three weeks off when my father died. What I’m assuming happened is that possibly the reruns were handed to newspapers and perhaps somehow uploading them to the site was missed. It all happened very fast originally. After a few months of an illness doctors believed could be managed, Dad’s passing was unexpected until his health took the sharp turn that week. I was on a plane to the east coast within 72 hours after it happened. Myself and everyone in the office was in a rush to get the comic in place, and I think that somehow something happened to drop the file from the site. I’m very hopeful (knock on wood!) that it will be replaced tomorrow, as that is what’s occurred the few times we’ve had a file go missing.
So, never fear, you did not miss a new comic! And the classic rerun should be up tomorrow! If you happen to get BCN in your newspaper, can you let us know did you see it? And which one it was? (I’m curious! I never asked in all the chaos of those first days.)
Apologies again! I hope you have all had a great weekend otherwise. Tomorrow we’ll all have a new installment of the Pawmark Channel Christmas special to enjoy!
I finally figured it out. MERCURY is in RETROGRADE! I didn’t realize it until I got slapped upside the head with a classic retrograde miscommunication today and decided to check in on my old pal Mercury. Started November 25 and ends on December 15.
