Last month I bought a twelver of Dos Equis Amber that was tainted with some awful-tasting chemical. It didn’t taste like beer.

I’ll only laugh if you share that beer.

I love those commercials – when else do you see somebody who looks over 40 in a TV commercial?

Actually the X’s date back to moonshine. The shiners would inscribe one x for everytime the shine was ran through the still, and each time it was filtered, it left behind whatever yeast residue was left behind before. The more filtering, the stronger the shine, and the more x’s you have.

Who pays whom for this product placement?

I see I don’t miss much not having television. And sorry rat, you can’t hold a candle to Earl and Mooch, or our new friend Snow! Or Larry’s parents – sure hope they come back for a visit.

In Australia, they have a beer called “XXXX” (4 X).-They say it’s because Aussies can’t spell “beer”.

I’ve never tasted the stuff, but the way it smells it can’t be any good.

I enjoy PBS for the most part, but this strip didn’t make any sense to me. Might be because I’ve never seen the ad.

That dos equis guy looks like someone semi-cleaned up a homeless bum of Santa Monica Blvd. My guess is he’s smelly and sticky to the touch.

I didn’t think Rat had any friends.
