OK… So it looks like Brad/Toni made it back for dinner. I’d love to talk with their scheduler. :-)

Actually, as this would appear to be Christmas Eve dinner, everyone may still be able to keep their Christmas Day obligations… Brad/Toni will go to their events… Quill will have dinner with the Bergers (and maybe Luann with them).

Perhaps this may even afford Frank & Nancy some “private time.” Sorry all you wannabes… This one is spoken for! ;-PPP

Anyway, everyone have a very safe, healthy and happy holiday season, and a prosperous new year.

Who’s on the other side of the table? Is it against a wall? What’s going on here?

Brad’s the only one with food in his mouth! Poor Mom— all that work for nothing. :(

People always assume that if someone isn’t with a group of people, that they just have to be lonely !…. People assume that if a person isn’t dating anyone, or planning on getting married, that they just have to be lonely !… -Not everyone who isn’t with a group of people are wanting to be… some actually do prefer (and are most comfortable) when there’s not a lot of other people around them …. Gunther is not a n outward, socially comfortable person! ….Some people are not only used to just having a couple of people around them, but their family size is small enough, so that it may just be one or two people (Gunther and his mom have a small family size, especially considering their immediate household size )…. – So, again, not everybody is interested in being around other people for dinner, or any other occaision… some people are most comfortable in more intimate (like one or two only) settings…….

Gravy? I don’t see any mashed potatoes on the table anywhere!

Nancy’s in a better position to pass the gravy than Frank anyway. Makes me wonder if Frank just wanted to stop Luann from staring at Quill and didn’t even want the gravy.

This is definitely true…. some people have meatloaf or turkey or chicken that rival the Gobi dessert…. they would not survive if there were no gravy available..

Brad hasn’t yet learned that the correct response to a clearly rhetorical question from Toni that he doesn’t understand shouldn’t be “The what?” but instead should be “Yes, dear.”

Ha ha ha!…

Doesn’t Quill like greens? Luann and Quill like olives, and they have outgrown putting one on each finger and then eating them off. The cranberry sauce and yams are totally neglected. Are they there for the same reason the school cook served stewed tomatoes with bits of bread mixed in year after year? I’m bringing a yam casserole to dinner tonight that has quinces, apples and butter blended in and brown sugar on top, and hopefully someone will taste it and fall in love. Merry Christmas everyone!

The etching on the glass that Toni is holding looks very much like the design on Quill’s sweater. And both are similar to the design on Charlie Brown’s shirts. I’m not drawing any conclusions; just an observation.

The answer to that sort of question is always, “Yes!”…. Most times you will be drinking something with a pull tab, so it really doesn’t matter to you.=LOL!!!

What a nice family Christmas dinner! Nancy maintains order, Frank feeds single-mindedly, Luann is in another Time and Space, gorgeous Toni tries to keep Brad focussed, Brad is enjoying dinner (in apt counterpoint to his Dad). Has anyone noticed that the DeGroot stemware etching and the pattern on Quill’s sweater are a near match? Is this of symbolic significance?

brad doesn’t have a glass, that’s why he doesn’t know the etching.

Brad will not be any help at all when they plan the gift registry. Toni is thinking about wedding gifts.

Brad is evidently enjoying the food his mother prepared, while Toni seems to be hung up on Nancy’s dishware=Oh, ok. That makes sense. I was interpreting it as dishes she bought in the sense of take out food (not that all take out food is bad!)=Are you going to make your famous spaghetti sauce for dinner?

I do believe that you are correct. Toni & Quill are holding…. hands. Brad hasn’t gotten to first base & never will. Toni Datona is an ambitious refugee from some trailer park or other. Why is she hanging with these schlubs? She should put her keester in Vegas where it could have a future. Merry Xmas & Happy Kwanza to all.

I think that Greg meant to show that Luann is still very infatuated with Quill and Toni is thinking of china and linens for a future nest (more serious). The men are always the last to know how the plans are laid out. Most women like to play games; I don’t. I say what I want, and if not, then I move on.
