Boy like those ears huh? That uniform is nerd dope! BaDuuumm! So is this beautiful Chocolate Vulcan young femme rocking that Vulcan skirt Bets? Or perhaps someone else that Gunther met on that dating site? It shows that meeting people who one would not have an opportunity to met ordinarily, or in their particular circles is a advantageous outcome of the WEB. Apropos this date, the biggest thing besides how totally HOT this young woman is, is that contrary to Rosa, she has an interest in something that Gunther has an interest in. She is an attractive, presumably very smart, probably college girl educated hot nerd, just the perfect date for Gunther. The question is whether it will be for her. I hope so, he needs a real relationship with a real new person, and she will, I hope, be a great addition of color in this strip. Not that I still don’t pine for Delta, and Rosa might complicate things, but Rosa wanted Gunther to do what SHE wanted, not love to do what he wants. YEAAAA!

I do hope indeed this is Betts and she and Gunther hit it off well. Gunther deserves some happiness and fun…. instead of the crap he has been wading through. I hope he lets his past anger and frustration STAY OUT OF THE CURRENT PICTURE, too…. he does not need to taint this current opportunity with his past hurts.

Okay. There’s bound to be a “catch” here because this young lady is already too good to be true.

I’d say off hand that one of the “catches” is gonna be Les. It’s no accident, I think, that they’re meeting up at the Fuse, the place where Les works. If he’s there this week, he’s gonna say something STUPID, count on it. Probably starting with making fun of Gunther in his Trek outfit right off the bat.

Many are “Betting” Les will say something racist toward this young woman. Part of Me Hopes G & K won’t go there. Part of Me does. Because a racist remark would have all the “Les Knox Apologists” running for cover. No way anybody could “excuse” THAT, then EVERYBODY would finally realize what an unrepentant scumbag he truly is.

As I recall, Rosa was occasionally drawn slightly darker complected; she is Hispanic. so Gunther should be comfortable with Betts, we hope. As long as they’re both Trekkies then everything should be OK. After all they’re just out to be friends for now. It is likely that they have exchanged information about themselves; I recall we last left Gunther posing for selfies in his bedroom.
