Define “wacky fun”, Tara, while Luann is the T.A.

Hmm, same theme the strip “For Better or Worse” recently had. Young kid in a position of some authority and responsibility is expected to violate the trust placed in them and favor their so called friend(s).

Bernice nailed it. Luann is not TA to have fun or make friends.

I have the feeling Tara is gonna mess it up for Luann. Get her into trouble.

Take your pick: (1) Students who saw Tara pose nude have already taken the class – so the new students might not know she did that. (2) Tara doesn’t give a #$%*

Hopefully Tara doesn’t plan to give Luann a hard time for “wacky fun.” Maybe it’s just seeing somebody she really likes in a teaching position.

Looks like she has worked on the sequins and the brushes. These jobs are actually very good for students. They teach two important lessons.

Lesson 1. No matter how glamorous you think it will be, there will always be some boring grunt work.

Lesson 2. Get someone else to do the grunt work.

Okay, I was AFRAID of this. Nil and Tara, the “usual suspects” taking the class. And already they are coming in with a sense of “entitlement,” and expecting to take advantage, and wanting Lu to look the other way, because they are “friends” or something.

All that’s missing now is Jack, who I suspect will expecting about the SAME treatment, or “modeling” nude again. Or both.

Too bad there shames to be no new people to play off of. (So far) That would have been adventurous fun.

Looks like My Lovely, Bountiful Bets, definitely got the BETTER end of the deal in the “friends” department.

Poor Luann. YOU, young lady, are about to get “Howied.” :(

I wouldn’t think that the college would allow a student to take a class again unless they flunked the first time.

Cut class? No problem, if you don’t mind getting an F for today’s assignment.

So; now will Tara follow the art class or she will continue to be the living model? Will Jack be a model again or has he devoted all his time to veterinary courses? Will we know anything more about Blythe, the talented Art student seen last year? Last but not least, Luann is really cute in an apron.

Given the expense of even a community college class ($80 plus fees) it’s doubtful anybody would take the class just to pad their credit hours.

I like Tara. Sure, she made a mistake with Moony but she’s been a different kind of friend to Luann than Bernice.

So, if Nil is taking the class again, one can assume that he failed it. His immediate, “Can I skip class” would be a good indicator for how he failed the class. Good luck Lu, you’re in for a bad time. how long before shes nolonger a T.A.? any guesses?

Nil should have said he’s just auditing the class this year. I, too, am hoping for some new fresh faces in this 101 art class.

I am enjoying having Nil and Tara be shown in the classroom setting. This week has been very good!

However, the idea of Nil taking Art 101 again is a bit odd. From his prior work in the class it would seem very unlikely that he failed, and just as unlikely he earned a poor score.

I am unsure how Greg will choose to resolve this.

Reminds me of when I was a Resident Assistant at my college dorm. It does change the way you have to interact with your friends a little.

Jack has not even shown up, and already a bunch of posters here have assumed that this arc is about Luann and Jack trying to have a relationship. It might actually be possible that this arc could be about Luann deciding whether she’s interested in teaching at all (especially if she has to figure out how to handle some ‘wacky’ students who figure they can take advantage of their friendship with Luann to not do work but still get credit for the class.)

I’m a little concerned about Tara’s comment “wacky fun”; I sense she wants to interfere with Luann’s TA job. Hopefully Luann (who tends to cave to peer pressure) will not agree to any of these plans or ideas.

I will take credit for predicting that Tara would end up being in the art class. She should be a real foil for or to Professor Zebo, she being the free-spirited breaker of tradition and order that she happens to be. Nil had taken the course so I can only surmise he did not pass it the first time he took it. He might have a problem now since he wants to cut the first class. He might be joking, but probably not. Hilarity will ensue, should I say.
