What kind of fun class did Dr. Flabbi teach in the summer? Teachers that teach tough classes in the fall generally don’t teach easy classes in the summer.

If she thought Microeconomics was tough, wait until they get to Macroeconomics, where it is subjective, IMO. I took them both centuries ago and Micro was a breeze (I started out a Math major).

Glad I took the suggestion and skipped last week. I’m ready for a Tiff week.

BEAUTIFUL! Just BEAUTIFUL! Not just the fact that these two lovely ladies are getting along beyond all expectations, but with with Tiffany’s statement.

Tiff took a Summer Class and Actually ENJOYED it! In all the years I’ve been reading this Strip, I can’t ever remember Tiffany “enjoying” school. Tiff’s New Found determination in succeeding at business thank’s to pressure from Ann Eiffel is proving to be a blessing in disguise. Of course, Picking up good study habits from Gunther when the two were study buddies, might have helped greatly, also.

Tiffany has found her calling and a new Best Friend. And despite what the Naysayers are saying today, I think Tiff and Bets are going to continue to get along just fine. I’m really looking forward to this week! ;)

It seems that Tiffany signed up for the class not knowing what the class was, but simply because she liked the instructor. But if she wants to make it in business, microeconomics is one of the areas in which she’ll need some knowledge. And wouldn’t it be a refreshing surprise if it turns out Tiffany excels in economics — an area she’s never given much thought to (as those of us who have followed Tiffany for a long time know)?

Tiffany HAD been looking slimmer…..but she’s looking pretty chubby in these drawings. Again.

Hooray! Time for Bets and Tiffany to have a class together! They looks so happy for this. It will be interesting to see how and if they will continue to be friends even in this new situation. Now i want to see this teacher. Maybe she will be the Tiffany’s version of Zebo?

The Fat-Shaming in these comments about Tiffany are so offensive I want to SPIT NAILS!!! Tiffany has gained some weight, so horsefeathers WHAT!!! She looks good to me, and she is healthy (well as healthy as a drawing can be). Americans are the fattest butterball butt people on Earth but actually have to gall to fat shame a cartoon character. On a good note its great to see Bets interacting with a main character other than Gunther, in a Luannverse venue, Mooney University. That means she is a new character for real with her hotness, and smarts, and color!!! I think the comments about if she is a replacement for Delta are inapposite to use a legal term. As a Black man I, who has never been afraid to express my feelings and trying to not racialize Luann (as we should do in our national conversation about race generally we should work to do) I miss Delta, and I have been suggesting a dynamite story line that could tie her up with Pru, I look at Bets as an entirely independent character. I miss Delta, but let me enjoy Bets. She certainly is a good influence for Tiffany, and Gunther has a hot love interest. I hope they get married eventually. I bet Luann would be fine with that by the way. Happy Labor Day fellow Luann lovers and trollers!!

By the way, Microeconomics is tough, particularly if Professor Fabbi uses a quantitative approach. However if Tiffany can pass “Mano-extra-comics”, she can pass Micro. Besides she has a smart study buddy. Should be a really fun arc.

Re: Crystal. She played the part of Jiminy Cricket to the characters. Popping up with all the “socially correct” takes in the Luanniverse.

BTW, I like how Bets’ eyes are drawn.

I signed up for a “Women’s Studies” class in college… didn’t turn out at all as I expected.

Greg never had any trouble portraying Tiffany’s figure when she was svelte. He seems to have a great deal of difficulty with a Rubenesque Tiffany. As an example, Tiffs waistline in panel 2 doesn’t seem to comport with its portrayal in Panels 1 & 3. At least to me.

(No fat shaming meant 1212, just sayin’.)

Finally we have proof of what was expected by many. That Bets definitely has business savvy/experience. It appears also that something I suspected a while ago, is coming to pass. Tiffany, Gunther, and Bets will be a recurring triumvirate. Problem for now Mordy, Gun (ugh) seems to be the weakest character for now.

Apparently Tiff misheard the name of the class and didn’t bother to READ the synopsis.

I wonder if we will know how Tiffany did in her summer class. I sense a little concern on Bets’ part by her small font response to Tiff’s unintelligible remark about macro economics, presumably the course she just finished (?)

Just a shout out to Sallymargaret. I noticed you’ve been absent from comments for a while. Hope all is well and that you are just enjoying a wonderful vacation getaway somewhere!

Tiff will do all right in class; she typically seems like an airhead at first, but usually succeeds in her endeavors.

But, alas, she seems to have regained any weight she may have lost recently, especially seen in contrast to svelte Bets….

I thinks folks are looking too closely at Tiff’s size. I don’t believe G&K have intentionally tried to have her lose weight since her initial major gain. I think they are adjusting to drawing her in different outfits. We all have clothes some of which make us look thinner than we are or not.

I love that we’re back in college! And especially happy to see Tiff have a good friend to hang out with. This should be fun.

Oh. And might I add – the various posts tell a whole lot more about the poster than about the comic strip. You could do an entire psychology paper on the stuff written here by people about people who don’t exist.

Here it is, one giant bite of reality confronting Tiffany. I hope she faces it and – with help from Bets – aces it.
