Sensing we are gearing up for a Saturday punchline…Moe or Les.

Ah. A geriatric and grumpy (see those eyebrows?) and overweight cat. Perfect.

Oay, I’m still trying to figure out how this whole ‘foster cat’ thing works.

Moe might be okay. At least he’s cuter than Al and Irma, and doesn’t come on like a savage, hissing and biting and scratching.

PLEASE tell me this is a shelter and not a commercial pet store.

Moe looks kind of big. I take the litter of kittens instead.

Moe and Al will be a purr – fect match. In one of his previous 9 lives, Moe was Al Capone’s gun moll.

Moe looks to be running on the same low tank of energy Al & Irma run on. Good match.

OK, now I’m hooked to see how GnK need a fat cat in a future arc. While I have a good imagination, I confess I’m stumped.

If they let a cat outdoors I will be very unhappy. Coyotes are everywhere in California.

And the term foster? Usually those fostering get specific training and may or may not keep the animal. A foster fail is the term for adoption of a fostered animal.. And is a good thing.

“Moe,” uh? Does “Larry” and “Curly” come with?

And is Moe “orphaned” because he ATE the previous owner?

Well, Moe WOULD fit nicely in Gunther’s Old high chair.

And Moe DOES remind one of Al Gray……….,

Remember when adopting that the “Moes” need homes too.

I have a feeling that the orphaned litter will win in the end.

Is “Moe” trying to be an off version of Garfield?

I was expecting the cat version of Puddles.

It looks like that cat is going to be grumpy when it wakes up. I predict its owners having quite a few scratches.

They’ve tried living with Les, but Moe was called for.

This is a catch-22 situation, Moe or Les…

Pick Moe. Unless you really like the demands of kittens, a cat who’s default is “sleepy” will serve you better.

Get Moe! He made Mr. Gray open his eyes! He might even start wearing casual clothes because of this cat, or at least unbuttoned his suit jacket.

Can’t get past the first panel. Have I missed that Irma has shared a profile with her son all this time?

You know, I’m a little surprised that Irma hasn’t gotten herself a “pet” before now. Like a cat, a pooch, or parrot.

But I guess it’s never too late. And hey, I like CATS, too! (Sorry, DOG)

In fact, the D11s are excellent for getting RID of noisy neighbors………, :)

Take Moe. Kittens can always find homes, and fosters. My husband and I decided long ago that we will adopt only hard to adopt out cats and dogs, like the older ones. And Mum’s Sheba, who at 10 months old was thought too old by a lot of people!

This is so hilarious, fat, old, grumpy cat, perfect! I mean this has to be Karen’s idea, I mean the grumpy cat meme is one of the most viewed on FB. How he fits into the strip remains to be seen, but my response for this strip is “hilarity ensues.”

Reminds me of Lucifer, the cat in Walt Disney’s Cinderella.

This cat is for Grey, it’s eyes are closed, and his eyes opened when he saw it!

Cats can be pawsitively wonderful! But unweaned kittens often get euthanized at shelters for lack of space. Keep them animals spayed/neutered for the better health of all. Currently fostering a pregnant cat under a year old who strayed into my yard. Took time for trust to build to catch her, hardly any time before she was pregnant though! Now awaiting birth, then everyone gets taken care of, at appropriate time. She continues to get nicer, but haven’t intermixed with resident cats yet…

Please find a torty kitten or two. They are fun, loving and funny. Miss my Rhapsodie. My 13 lb Jazz was amazing too. Both lived passed 13. That big cat could have his own arc plus comic strip! Can see his hissing up a storm at Les! Nope, pass on that one!

Gosh, he already has a name! Maybe he will be a new character?

Who knew the stories about animals looking like their owners was true.

I just can’t figure how GnK see the introduction of a cat into the mix furthers the strip at this point. Is the “Al and Irma” arc going to produce episodes unrelated to Gunther and Les? I doubt it. The previous intro of a cat (kitten really) played to Frank’s allergy then wound up a social comment re comfort animals for aged neighbors. This has all the appearance of another social comment episode re pet adoption.

We’ll have to wait and see.

How about Curly?

I think that’s the first time we’ve actually seen Al’s eyes!

I think the cat rescue agency should be called “The Cat-A-List.”

Sorry if someone else addressed this but why do they have to take the whole litter of kittens? Isn’t the point to get them into homes, even if you have to do it one at a time?

Moe looks like he has all the personality of Mr. Gray. Should be a good fit.

two from the litter would be easier than one because they can occupy each other; they needs less attention. they grow up together and you can leave them alone together. It would be more efficient. Al needs know this.

I hope this is a rescue organization, not a store. Just sayin’.

I instantly like Moe

If you want a cat that is affectionate and docile….. a neutered, “hefty”, older male cat usually fits the bill perfectly. They will typically lay for hours in your lap and gently purr if you rub or scratch their cheeks.

So, I tend to think Moe could be great for Irma and Al. Most likely Moe would be pretty low maintenance. Food bills might be a bit enhanced, but overly so.

If Irma chooses the kitten(s) instead…. they will likely be far higher energy…. which can be great fun….. but sometimes a bit overwhelming, especially if new to cats.

Getting 2 kittys is better.

Al will probably end up with a Moe – hair suit, depending on how much Moe sheds.

I’m a dog person, never had a cat, but this “Cat Lady” looks nothing like Julie Newmar, Halle Berry, or Michelle Pfeiffer. In fact, she looks more like Margaret Hamilton, the green witch from The Wizard of Oz.

Oh boy – GRUMPY CAT HAS RETURNED! I’ve done cat fostering … but my husband and I are foster failures … we’re very good about fostering, but terrible at give them back. That’s why at one point we had 12 cats – several special needs (medical), and all shelter rescues. Right now we only have 7 cats ranging in ages from 16 years down to 1 year old. :) (Hey, grumpy old cats need love too).

Moe looks great but I’m hoping tomorrow will bring Irma and Al with 2 or 3 kittens.

Now comes the big question—how many cats will they be leaving with? I’m going with 6. The Litter plus Moe. I think Irma’s big heart will win out over Al’s practicality.

Moe looks like a sweet, older kitty. He needs love and a home too.

When they take Moe, The woman could say, " Well, no Moe." I’ll be here all week.
