I can’t tell if Puck is poofed, or if he’s just very staticked. And yes, “staticked” is a word now. To quote my writing teacher: “I’m a writer, I can make up words.”

Beatrix: Hello, dear Orb Friends, whoever you are
I hope that your troubles are few
But whatever place you are in right now,
I wish the best for you.
…….
Be brave, dear Orb Friends, both near and afar,
Come visit with us, yes please do,
Sending our best to all of you now,
Yes, I wish the best for you.
……..
I know how it feels to have ham for your meals,
And to be out in the cold, dark void,
But know there’s a place
To be warm and with grace,
We are all here for you to bring joy!
……..
Be brave, dear Orb Friends, whatever you do,
Together, or being alone,
All our adventures together we take,
And have adventures of your own,
Have adventures of your own, dear friends,
Have adventures of your own!
Beatrix: How do you do? I’m Beatrix Lionheart. I have come to the land of Yessiam to care for a group of foster kittens King Elvis has adopted. I will teach them and make sure they are ready for their furrever homes. Oh, I think I see someone coming to meet me!
OT: Early this AM, I saw a beautiful little ermine, hunting, in my gardens. It startled me and at first I thought it was a baby squirrel, until I looked closer. I interrupted its hunting a vole in the garden. And they are very fast. When it saw me, it leaped and bounded back into the forest. Hubby and I count those types of sightings as blessings.
Central Florida is the lightning and thunder capital in the USA. My cats are often under the bed on at least one or 2 times a week do to the racket if we are in our normal rainy season pattern where the storms roll in like clockwork in the late afternoon and early evening…….

The original Dark and Stormy night in all its lengthy glory “It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents — except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.”
People always think rain when they hear “storm”. When I lived in Mendocino there was a wind-only storm that knocked out power for three days in most of the county. In the redwoods, it’s so quiet, that when a tree falls down a mile away, it sounds like it is coming down on your house.
I can sympathize with heat and humidity. The air is out at work. I did get them to close the lobby, have a portable unit in the drive thru, but it was 96 F inside when I left. At least I have permission to lose the dress clothes and wear shorts and a tank the rest of the week.
Poor Puck! We had a really loud clap of thunder the other night and both the cat and the dog jumped from it. I have a long haired cat and she looked just like Puck.
I fell asleep reading this afternoon and got woke up by a loud clap of rolling thunder. My house was right on the edge of the rain. My porch steps and the first 3 section of my sidewalk got wet. The driveway and my car stayed dry. My sidewalk was where the raindrops end.

Get away from the window, Puck. A bad place to be during a thunderstorm. Avoid windows, doors, porches, and concrete.
