How is Jules going to get inside if the windows are closed? (are they closed?) Well, goodnight everyone, I only stayed up to see today’s broadcast. Sleep well or hope you’re having a great day depending on your time zone.
Lupin, Eeek! What a great visual, a crack of lightning and all is revealed…. looks like Jules is trying to get through the screen, Heaven help them when he does. Let the games begin!
(gasp) How scandalous! The lightning has caused Lupin to become visible, even if only for a brief second, and now everyone can see his lack of pants! It is Pantsgate!
Queen Goldie: Tomorrow the kittens will go to their furrever homes. Thank you so much, Miss Bea, for all you have done.
Bea: It was such a joy and a pleasure to teach the kittens. I’m going to miss them. But I wonder, did teaching them really make a difference? Did I really change things for the better for them?
Queen Goldie: You did make a difference. Of that there can be no doubt.
Bea: Yes, but still…
Queen Goldie: I will tell you a story of a small event, a simple moment in time, that changed things so much for so many.
(Song: Something Wonderful)
There was a Woman and her Man,
With three cats in their lives.
Sometimes the cats would stumble and fall
But they would always try.
Their antics the people would forgive and forgive,
That third panel is done SO well – with a ‘crack’ ‘flash’ ‘BOOM’ the invisible suddenly becomes visible! This is one of those genius illustrations where I become convinced I actually saw an animated sequence. Wonderful… 2 paws (full of toe beans) way up!
For a reporter, Elvis has a poor command of the English language. By the time summer temperatures reach the boiling point there will be a fermented Family, melted mice, and puddles of pussycats. Tsk, tsk, Elvis; a little professionalism, eh? :op
Lupin’s camouflage is effective but limited. I used to walk with my tabby cat in the redwoods. I had unlimited sight lines for a 100 yards but I would frequently “lose” him. If he could see me, he would not “answer up” to calls. So, I would stand there, calling over and over, until he would twitch an ear and “materialize” six feet away. Spooooooky.
Today is National Piña Colada Day. If you like sweet alcoholic drinks, this is it. The Spanish means “strained pineapple,” I’m told, and I certainly find it a straining experience to even taste one. I have a sweet tooth, and this drink is much too sweet for me: 50 ml white rum (so far, so good), 30 ml coconut cream or coconut milk (approaching diabetic coma), 50 ml fresh pineapple juice (you’re dead, Jim.) After this, a maraschino cherry tastes bland.
It gets worse. In San Juan, Puerto Rico, the recipe is: 1 oz heavy cream, 6 oz. pineapple juice, 1 oz cream of coconut, 2 oz rum, 4 oz crushed ice. Deadly to any diabetic within three miles—and if you aren’t diabetic, you soon will be. Coconut milk is very sweet by itself. Coconut cream is a blend of coconut milk and sugar cane juice. Have you ever tasted sugar cane? On a sweetness scale of 1 to 10, it’s a 20. Talk about doomed—far beyond even Robin’s ability to perceive or pronounce. By my calculations, it should take not 2 oz, but an entire bottle of rum to make it palatable.
I’ll stick with daiquiris, thanks. You can call me an old sourpuss, but the piña colada is too darned sweet.
OT: My beloved collie, MIdnight, passed away in my arms this morning on the way to the emergency vet. I’m furious with her regular vet for not giving me an early appointment to have her euthanized.( she had advanced mega esophoagus ) Had to make one with the emergency vet. Such wonderful techs there. She is in a better place without pain and playing with my other pets and family, so I am ok, though it hurts. thank you all for listening/reading.
Blasted lightning, lighting up a buck naked Lupin. There’s the real reason Goldie’s hiding under the bed. She’s not afraid of the thunder, she’s afraid to see a streakin’ Lupin.

But they would always try.
Their antics the people would forgive and forgive,
And love, as long as they live…
One night there was a sound
A lamp came crashing down,
But that crash inspired
Something
Wonderful.
Their adventures all bring joy
In all they do,
You know that you enjoy them,
And that’s enough for you.
Life can be such a trial,
But for a little while
They can make us smile
It is
Wonderful!
We all need to be loved!
And we can feel the love!
And when we show our love,
It is,
Wonderful!

Faster than a streak of lightning, noisier than a P-38, more maneuverable than an A6M3—Jules, the Bug of Lightning!
No wonder he’s an ace:
Off he goes into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high, into the sky,
Now down he dives, with a buzz like thunder
He ne’er stops, or needs a refuel,
Now down he comes, making his own thunder
Roaring down outta the blue
He’ll live in fame, not go down, not him!
Nothing’ll stop Jules the July Bug!
(Excepting Elvis …)
