What is it about us that we just love to be scared!?

I didn’t get it, so I had to look it up online. For the others who also didn’t get it, here’s what I found:

Essentially internet horror stories or a myth passed around other sites, to frighten readers and viewers. The word, “Creepypasta” comes from the term, " copypasta ". An internet slang term for a block of text that gets copied and pasted from website to website. Creepypastas are sometimes are supplemented with pictures, audio or video footage related to the story. Typically with gory, distorted or, otherwise, shocking content.

I have sometimes intense nightmares (more so this year…wonder why…) and my remedy for them is to get up and check on the cats. If they’re not scared, it wasn’t real.

If something scared me, I found that hugging my sweet Whiskers boy always made me calmer! I do so miss him even though it’s been 4 years since he went to the Rainbow Bridge…

I just finished listening to some annoying Reddit stories about obnoxious people. That’s why I come to GoComics and my favorite cartoons before bed. It’s a much happier night ender.

I don’t care for creepypasta, but I’ve watched videos about ghosts and hauntings late at night, against my better judgment. I can relate to this.

In the early 1970’s, Jack Palance starred in a film version of Dracula. Since he was most known for playing gangster-type bad guys, it was a departure for him. He was also just about the opposite physical type from your usual Dracula. Nevertheless, it was the totally creepiest Dracula I’ve ever seen and the only movie that actually gave me a bad night. To make it worse, I didn’t even have a cat!

This is the time of year when I always find myself staying up too late reading creepy pasta!

OT … I have just learned this morning that Skipper the Elf will be back on November 21! It will be slightly different this year … no contact, so no sitting on Santa’s lap, but I’ll be helping to keep the Starbucks at the mall in business again.

I love Bea’s little wiggle of delight in the center panel! She turns my heart into warm rays of sunshine.

OT: Someone a few days ago? was worried about their cat? having all the teeth pulled for dental reasons, and I just wanted to say that my recent adoptee NightFury (who is totally toothless) has no problem with her kibble, which she loves. It’s possible she swallows them whole, but she seems to be thriving in any case.

Also, she does have very hard gums and is known to BiteBiteBite. Sometimes I say OwOwOw, and won’t take her empty dish to refill till she stops biting. Usually two BiteBiteBites and then she lets me take the dish on the third attempt.

Thanks – I thought it was a cat version of ‘creepy posts’. BCN is so educational!

If I want to be too scared to sleep, I’ll just watch the presidential campaign news.

As anyone who lets their time get away from them on the Internet will tell you, there are things seen there, which cannot be unseen; things which are read, that cannot be un-read. OT – Nushi and I and at the emergency vet. She swallowed a little over 2’ worth of string from her da bird toy. Caught it right away so I’m praying they can get it out by inducing vomit. My poor baby…she’s never done anything like this before.
