I don’t know how this could be better. ‘I’ was just content to destroy them. Without the Doctor there to put in a good word on their behalf (With no explanation of just HOW she was going to accomplish this.) They have arrived in a place where everyone is of the same consensus that beings like them deserve to die slow, excruciating deaths and take much pleasure in doling those out. Remember, the Doctor coldly describes a specimen being mutilated on purpose in an experiment to try and get ‘I’ to manifest. (Hope that wasn’t Duffy’s brother but yeah…) I guess Wally is going to find out real quick whether stopping that missile strike was ultimately the right thing to do.
Also, it always struck me as interesting that Wally was on his way to BECOME a Topsider but he couldn’t handle the brutality of their sort of Einsatzgruppen tactics.
Hope Wally brought his dittos ‘cause they’re going to need help. They are in the middle of Topsider Central, and I have no idea how they will get out of this one
Anybody have any intel on that talisman? I’m wondering how this happened? A homing beacon? What are it’s powers and origins? Always an avalanche of questions for every clue ekked out.
Many of you seem to forget that this is the place where some volunteered to mutate and were placed in Eden.
During discussions, one of them mentioned “friends and family” in referring to Eden. So our gang’s situation is not one of being shot on sight. They will still be in peril of course, but so arer some if not all the Topsiders.
One question not answered is what happened to Amesworth’s device? It last seemed to be under control of the Eye. Presumably, the Topsiders homed in on its signal. So what has come with the guys?
The guys will have much to relate: Conditions at Eden, as they left. The toothbrush plague and the Eye.
But what was Amesworth trying to do or her original quest? She never really said. although it seemed that Aaron Marx had something to do with it, and that it involved Cardoodles. And the explanation that Ravensworth gave Duffy, who passed it on to Wally seemed to involve destruction across many lelements of the multiverse.
Well, as I said, the amulet was the guys’ E ticket to a wild ride.
Neathery keeps us caught up in his wonderful tale.
There may be more to our Dear Kirby “than meets the Eye”! The Marx brothers couldn’t pry her and Chic apart; she makes portal grabbing magic evil eye amulet…..resourceful she is.
Was really getting concerned that our friends WOULDN’T wind up here! ( sad to think we WOULD be rooting for them to get into Topsider hands). Hopefully, these topsiders will take the time to listen to the story of how Amesworth disappeared, and not just jump to conclusions.
What are the chances these Topsiders will put them through another portal and back to their own world? Or, even better, to Endtown? And where has Marx put Kirbee and Chic?
Well, remember that Wally, Kirbee and Chic had no recollection of how they got to Eden in the first place (remember they were asked?) And Eden is at the center of some weird confluence of realities, if Ravenscroft was to be believed. So that makes me wonder if someone is going to recognize these three (or at least recognize one of them). I’m sure if Wally mentions talking to Ravenscroft they may soften their stance a little bit.
So if my understanding is correct: - Multiverse and parallel universes both exist. (Imagine Multiverse being columns, and parallel universe being rows of these columns)- The universe they’re in is the only one that contains life in the multiverse around them. Marx, the multiverse traveler, doesn’t know why it is when all the surrounding ones aren’t. - There is no virus: They’re anthros because the human universe merged with a parallel anthro universe. Some remain humans because there wasn’t an anthro version of them. (Some turned into monsters because their mind rejected the change and fought it.)- The one universe is tooth brushes because it merged with a parallel universe of sentient toothbrushes(?)- The Topsiders suits are some form of multiverse chemical that blocks the merger of parallel universe inhabitants. They don’t know where it came from, but they’re trying to modify humans to include this product inside their bodies. Amesworth suggested that it’s a bad idea. ==========Theory:
— The “merger” of the parallel universes is what preserved life in this universe as opposed to being dead like the surrounding ones.
— The “god” that’s attempting to invade the Topsiders portal and attack Wally & co is responsible for the merger of the parallel universes.
— The creation of the “trans reality human” by the Topsiders creates the “god” thats attacking them.

Out of the frying pan, into the fire. I’m hoping our trio can get away from the Topsiders in due time.

It’s people Amesworth tried to kill before becoming toothbrushes, silly.

No, it’s not Amesworth, but they can tell you what happened to Amesworth.

I’m less concerned with the incoming Cardoodles, and more concerned about what might be coming in behind them.

Kind of like Time Tunnel and Quantum Leap, where they keep trying to get the heroes back to their original time and place – and always fail.
