Ah, the big band area. If I remember correctly Glenn Miller was lost too soon during the second world war. Judging by Burt’s Chryon I’m not sure what to make of his opinion of swing.

Gotta love it! Everybody is getting into the dance…. from Puck and Elvis loving a tango to the robber mice doing a dip, Lupin and Goldie doing a slow dance face off and the happy couple dancing to Glenn Miller! At least the kids are in bed.

Oohhhhhh, what a great choice! My grandfather was a musician (clarinet and saxophones), and his explanation of what made Glenn Miller so unique in his time was mind-opening.

A tango? to Glenn Miller? Well, they’re cats, so they can do just about anything (if and only if they want to).

My mom was a big fan of the big bands. She managed to get Gene Krupa’s autograph. She kept it in her billfold. One night while the family was sleeping, somebody came into the unlocked house and stole Mom’s purse. She was more upset about losing Gene Krupa’s autograph than about losing the money. (For those who don’t know, Gene Krupa was the drummer for Benny Goodman’s orchestra. He left to form his own orchestra. That was when Mom got the autograph.)

I’m so glad The Man and The Woman still somehow manage to keep romance alive during this pandemic!

James and I used to listen to Glenn while we were cooking and would dance in the kitchen. Our faves were Moonlight Serenade and In the Mood.

Lupin and Goldie are freestylin’, while Natasha and Alice are going more formal.

We are expecting snow tomorrow. so we picked up (and ate) our Valentines day meal tonight. Bouillabaisse, risotto with goat cheese, beef cheeks served over potatoes, salad. and a heavenly chocolate dessert. We also picked up our second Valentines Day meal which is all Middle Eastern, for Sunday. Urp!

It’s nice to see everyone (cats, mice and people) enjoying a nice romantic evening.

Hard to tell whether Lupin and Goldie are dancing or doing hitsies. For cats, there may be no difference.
