Yeah !!! I’m still surprised they only the one child……………bit like Jimbo and Rose. Lotsa lovin, but only one offspring to show for it.

Sorry — insert the word ‘have’ between ‘only’ and ‘the’ in the first line.

Maybe they can replace the easy chair with an easy couch.

She’s right, they don’t make chairs like they used to. Now they all fall apart after a couple of years.

Why do the wives in all these cartoons seem to become very bossy and the poor guys never have any say about things??

Aw, Janice. I think you’re setting yourself up for a sad reality check when the “kids” are still busy with their lives and that room doesn’t get much more use than it ever did. But hey, hope springs eternal.

Throw away everything that belongs to Arlo and keep everything that belongs to Janis.

Interesting it is that Janis immediately wants to trash one of Arlo’s belongings instead of hers.

Comfort first. A few years ago at Thanksgiving the guys were talking about how their wives wouldn’t let them have recliners because they didn’t look right. I sided with the guys, much to the dismay of my female cousins. I’m all about comfort—I don’t live in a museum and if you don’t like the way my house looks, that’s ok with me.

Subtle power play.

Every time there’s a conversation that includes the kids, anything physical from the old days gets kicked to the curb.

Maybe Janis reads Crankshaft, and figures she’d better have the room ready in case the kids have to move back home in her universe as well?

Love Janis’ smirk; clearly that lounger has seen some moves!

When I was a younger man I had a huge couch that was exactly like that chair…

First thing a woman gets rid of when fixing the house up is the guy’s stuff. Never fails…..

And it’s the most comfortable chair in the house…

Chairs are to be used and thrown out when they are no longer comfortable

Janis must have been apart of the easiness of the chair!

Does Janis think the kids are going to visit more often now that they’ve closed their restaurant? They will need to find new work and probably be just as busy. The kids visit as often as they want to.

The “kids” may have other places they’d rather visit.
