There are no bells in college. Also penalty for being later or not there at all.

Maturation is necessary for academic success in college student. Unless you are a savant, like some I’ve known.

I don’t think Luann has reached adulthood yet. Scientists do say that the brain doesn’t stop developing until you’re about 25, to be fair. Maybe there’s hope for her someday?

@GnK PLEASE, please, please let us know what’s happening in Bernice’s and Luann’s classes.

Cute pun on “late” and “latte”.

Man, I can remember in middle school we had five minute intervals between classes, but danged if your next class happened to be all the way on the other side of the main building (or even out in the secondary building in the back of the property), then that five minutes felt more like five seconds.

This arc seems so….forced. Is there nothing interesting for the main character any more?

With that trademark “Z”, I thought for a second that was Argy in the first panel…

Not sure if anyone noticed it, but in the first panel, Luann’s book is upside – down; one can see the “Part One” is inverted.

Got to learn how to read, how to write, and how to balance a check book, the rest brings on the Rip van Winkle syndrome. Next time around I want to be born independently wealthy.

I spy the Starbucks logo. Did Greg have permission to draw the logo??? Is anyone gonna tell Starbucks?

In other words. Luann is now in a place where she always needs to be prepared and awake. This is really stressful and she’s probably tired, but this helps her a lot to be a new person who is more responsible and attentive to the world around her. HOORAY for Luann’s community college!

It’s always terrible when subsitutes run out of material in mid-week. Next week will not be a Luann story because this week has used up all of Luann’s allotted appearances for this quarter. Nor will there be a story about Gunther and Bets because Bets as been appropriated by the Quad from Hell. The Quad from Hell is such a disaster that it should be flushed down the Memory Hole immediately. So that leaves Bernce, Ben or Shannon. Since Shannon is too young to talk about who’s shagging who, I bet we get a week of her. Or maybe Nancy will feel old again because she can’t figure out the fancy software needed to keep Bernice’s files up to date.

Never stop for anything in college.

One guy I knew in college had one class start at 9AM and the previous class end at 9:15AM!! The next semester he copied my schedule, LOL!

On the other hand, you aren’t actually required to get there on time.

Latte is never stupid. :)

We had ten minutes between classes. Even on our relatively small campus, it could sometimes be a rush getting from one to the other. Something like rain or snow made it worse.

Maybe the worst thing was getting an 8 AM class and not another for several hours.

When you’re unmotivated, life feels like that. I guess we can’t expect Luann to have found her life’s purpose yet. I mean, she’s only— what? 40?

Also didn’t help that the next class in collage was usually clear across campus and you only had ten minutes to get there.

I was glad that when I was a senior, all my classes were my major specialty courses and in the engineering building.

Been a nice week, like to see next week with Luann dealing with a class. Interesting GnK went for the “Evil Empire” for coffee but then it left no doubt. Wonder if we’ll see GnK bring the other “Evil Empire” in at some point, the MOUSE.

I’ve never seen a black latte. Not saying they don’t exist, just wondering what flavour they are. Black licorice?

Bernice looked better with the longer hair.

From junior high on, my alarm was my dog that my mother plopped on my bed when it was time to get up and go to school. When I went off to college, I missed my first college class ever, because I forgot to set an alarm. Lesson learned.

New subject, please.

I am really enjoying the freedom of Greg’s drawings this past week. His sense of movement and the panicked expression on Luann’s face in the last panel today is priceless. Also loved the old lady on her way to Auto Shop.

I notice unease with commenters who complain this is boring. Everything with the main characters in the arcs has a point, comedic and otherwise. I think it’s fair to say this is a maturation muse by Luann. How that will play out I leave to GnK, but I have a feeling it will be quite noticeable. Wait for it.

Hmm. A quasi-Starbucks label in the second panel? Product placement perks….

But in college the consequences for being tardy are minuscule, if any. Unless you are in pre-med or med-school and it’s a 7:00 AM lab of some sort.

(Amateur observer here). Luann needs to be tested for ADHD.

Why from high school to college/university all of a sudden? Didn’t Luann spend the last two years going to community college? Community college is college. I’m confused.

So, he out of GOOD ideas ? We get it !

In 4 years of college, I only had two classes back to back – and they were in the same building and on the same floor. Luck of the draw my freshman year and knowing how to schedule the next 3 years.

How about High School: Aaron Hill moved away. I have no boyfriend. College: I have no boyfriend since I don’t know when.

Anyone besides me have “school dreams”? I’m late for class, or I can’t find my books, or I forgot to buy the books, or worst of all, I forgot to go to the class all term and now it’s the final.

Many of my colleagues would lock the door five minutes after the start of class.

Judging time requirements is often difficult.

They need to get Luann & Bernice to join Dezs’ nudist group to liven things up a bit.

Well not ALL teens need bells. Berniece seems to be doing fine.

My college profs could care less if you came late or showed up at all. They were paid the same.

Enjoyed this arc. It gave the hazmat crew time to clean up after Steffie and Kip.

Especially since, halfway Through that latte, she going to need to stop and drain out the Prior cup of coffee, making her even Later.

It’s about TIME for these feeble gag-a-day comparisons of high school and college to be retired forever.

And why did irresponsible Luann stop between classes to buy a cup of coffee+ anyway?!

This week was a pause that didn’t refresh. It took us outside of the strip, and felt a bit jarring. But I did enjoy seeing Delta and Aaron. Luann could use them these days. Bern being a bore/bi+@#, and no significant other a young adult would likely have, leave Luann without peer support.

Once I left home, I found it advantageous to set my watch 15 minutes fast, I was seldom late for anything.

My college had bells to start and finish each class - but it was for the professors’ benefit, not the students. ;)

Lay off the lattes,Luann,or you’ll turn into Ann Eiffel.
