She thinks they’re playing it safe. “Blah blah blah blah blah.” probably is or soon will offensive to someone. I’m kind of offended (or at least annoyed) when someone repeatedly responds with “Whatever.”
I doubt the sculptor cares as long as he gets paid for the work. If he chooses to post photos on his website, he can say who commissioned it and whether or not he agrees with the message. Sculptors have to eat, too.
It doesn’t matter what it says about a person on a plinth, it is who they were and what they did. Lots of these statues only have the person’s name and their dates of birth and death, and that hasn’t helped them.
Today’s statues of generals and politicians are modest affairs compared to the Romans. Although I could see The Great Prevaricator desiring to have a statue like Marcus Licinius Crassus was said to have built for himself … of solid gold!
Not-so-fun fact: Most Confederate statues and monuments were NOT erected after the Civil War. Rather, they were built in the early 20th Century as part of the post-Reconstruction effort at enforcing Jim Crow laws and segregation. They parallel the rise of the KKK.

Fitting for the start of COP26 as I imagine this’d be a statue dedicated by Greta Thunberg at the summit except she used three ’Blah’s.

I’d like to be made into plastic statues, you know, the kind you put on your dashboard.
‘’I don’t care, if it rains or freezes, long as I got my plastic Redd Panda. Riding on the dashboard of my car.’’
Doesn’t sound as good as the original.

Think of how long it took a great man to carve Mount Rushmore.
Also think about why ANYBODY would want to carve Stone Mountain,Georgia.
