Also, we finally have confirmation on the idea that Lizz will be filling one of Briar Rose’s former jobs.

Screw-ups on both sides. Lizz for meeting Sam in disguise and the thugs for “getting her” instead of calling it in.

No, just another bad, implausibly plot development by team Tracy.

These 2 characters look like they could have appeared in Gasoline Alley rather than Dick Tracy.

Come on, after all this time you’d think Tracy’s department would have some smarts about meeting cops in public while you’re undercover.

I do enjoy the fact that the one henchman doesn’t want to do anything about it because it’s their day off and they aren’t getting paid to commit crimes on the weekends.

Agreeing with everybody’s comments on this – unless there is something ultra-clever going on here that we don’t know about yet, this does seem like a really careless move on the part of Lizz and Sam!

Seems a bit of a stretch that two very experienced cops would make this mistake…..

And this will probably end bad for Lizz.

I still do not know why Briar Rose did those interviews aside from the parade of distinguished gentlemen for the anniversary. The Tracy interview could be for the referral to interview Smith but the Smith interview does not seem to have any purpose. Sterling Eliot did not need any help from her

I’m just going to sit back and wait to see how the story goes befote I start judging Liz. She’s supposed to know what she’s doing.

I understand you need to move the plot along, but for experienced officers like Lizz and Sam to make that sort of mistake really takes me out of the storyline.

I like the proposal of L. & S. doing a lure to get these men out of the gang but that would mean that they are suspected as App gang members in the first place, and will be “pumped” for information. I find it hard to believe that this is only a serendipitous encounter that will be turned to their advantage in getting closer to Ace.

P2 Do not like the new drawing of characters, you are slowly changing the appearance of characters. They don’t look like people they look too cartoony! might as well do stick people.

Someone said that Lizz is skilled in martial arts. These two guys are going to be on the receiving end.

Either this is an incredibly stupid mistake by Sam and Lizz, OR,

the idea suggested way above by Trespassers W is correct: this is Sam meeting at The Bistro with the “for really-and-truly” original Patty Care,

who is mistaken by the two Apparatus thugs, who just happen to be at the same watering hole at the same time, for Lizz-undercover-as-Patty!

But the outcome is probably going to be as predicted: the two thugs will end up “getting” not Patty but Lizz -as-Patty, who will destroy them with her martial arts skills (right on up to the literally deadly krav maga)….

Can’t she just file reports over email. Geesh
