The path least travelled doesn’t look that unsafe and is in the same direction as the prior path – instead of the circular path the Congress sign is taking him on.

Wiley is complaining because he’s gotten hooked up with an arguably false definition of “what can get done”. Because in reality, if Congress won’t do it, then it can’t be done.

The current incarnation of the Republican Party is dedicated to the strategy of obstruction to prove that government institutions do not work — so that voters will elect them to more rapidly destroy those institutions.

A politician’s first duty is to get re-elected. The second duty is to please the major donors. The third duty is to support the party. The fourth duty is boondoggling on “fact finding” missions (think Cancun). The fifth duty (if there is time) is to pay lip service to the minions otherwise known as constituents.

There are documents at state and Federal levels known as PDCs – Public Disclosure Commission. These documents show from where a candidate gets funding.

It is interesting to see how many elected officials have a majority shareholder who like corporate board member tell him what to do.

The problem with the PDCs is that a lot of doners hide behind fancy names like “Citizens for Better Government” or “Save America” or “America First.”

I think the whole lobbying system was best summed up by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas who said. “To America’s watch-me-woke-it-up CEOs I say: When the time comes that you need help with a tax break or a regulatory change, I hope the Democrats take your calls, because we may not.”

Pay for play and since money is free speech, big companies and billionaires have more free speech than ordinary citizens. “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.” – George Orwell.

You know what’s a very efficient form of government?

    Dictatorships.

No discussion, just give the order and it get done.

However, you may not be please with ‘It", especially when it’s done to you or your family.

Representation is messy, discussion is time consuming and the result will at best be something all parties can tolerate. B/c no one gets “their way” in a fair system. It’s compromise.

When it’s viewed as 2 teams, and neither will agree to anything the other “side” broaches, then they aren’t doing their jobs. It’s not “my way or the highway”, it’s hammering out a way to get the stupid highway built.

"R"ight now we appear to have one side that thinks it’s a team, representing a cult. And that their only job is criticizing any progress. All progress is a learning experience and WILL come with mistakes/adjustments/amendments.

Just bitching about them isn’t a virtue.

AGreed. It is long past time to do these things which Congress keeps refusing to do:

    1. Repeal Obamacare

    2. Bill the Border Fence.

    3. Abolish the Department of Education.

    4. End Woke and CRT programs in the military and all Federal egencies.

    5. Investigate Hunter and Joe Biden’s payola scheme from China, Ukraine and Russian oligarchs.

    6. Impeach Joe Biden for failing to enforce law on illegal immigration and Merrick Garland for refusing to investigate BLM and Anti-fa riot instigators and for failing to arrest the protestors breaking the law by protesting at SCOTUS justices homes

    7. Remove Tony Fauci from office for crimes against humanity

For the past two years, the Senate was proven to be the bigger barrier. And today, the Supreme Court has once again proven their Republican partisanship instead of progressing down the less traveled path. For those who insisted that the elimination of the constitutional rights to contraception, as well as LGTBQ rights, were only in danger in the eyes of the paranoid and conspiratorial kooks, Supreme Court judge Clarence Thomas has today proven otherwise. https://is.gd/OCPVdq
