The tunnel is actually very boring, but . . .

Cue Goofy Screams!

I suspect this ride doesn’t do a lot of repeat business.

And I’m guessing the Wiley Bears are below to do a clean up of the meat bits.

Considering how many people have gone over, have they put something similar just before Niagara.

The light at the end of the tunnel isn’t what it used to be.

BRIEF thrills.

Which, come to think of it, sounds like a great name for a store selling men’s underwear.

At least the ticket was cheap.

One time only!

If it were a coaster park then kids would be lining up for it. “What a cool drop! Totally vertical!”

Another couple about to have a falling out after passing through a dark period…

Short thrills.

What a wonderful adventure they’ll fall for each other again!

People keep falling for it.

The usual: short ride, thrilling moment, stark terror. What’s not to like?

Is this cartoon a comment on how the media decide what to report as “news”?

Been there, fell off that.

I understand that it’s not the sudden drop, but the sharp stop at the end that’s the problem …

It should say “Dopey Joe’s Economy Tunnel of Thrills”.

I think thrills will be an understatement.

Geronimo Falls?

Unlike a lot of advertising, this is refreshingly understated, delivering more than expected.

So, like marriage, maybe the tunnel should be signed “Tunnel of lasting Regrets”.

Supposing that they survive, of course.

that’ll end quickly… thee uh, ride’s end not the ride itself.

They left off the, “…and Spills”.

An excellent metaphor for the current administration.

“These aren’t the thrills you’re looking for”

It’s not cheap, they have to replace the boat after each ride.

Sort of like my polling place.

Brought back a lot of Disneyworld memories. They use the concept a lot.

…a stream flowing uphill? Wish the perspective was drawn a little more realistically.

Better get going with the kissing

The boat is on a track that you cannot see. In this view, the wheels of the boat are on the underside of the track. The track turns downward at the falls letting the weight of the water remove the riders as the boat goes vertical. Then the track curves back so that the boat is now upside down. Under the falls it enters a smaller tunnel (small enough that anyone still hanging on to the boat is scraped off), and then back to the beginning. It’s a clever design by the Wiley Bears™.

The bears wait at the bottom of the falls, just like the brown bears in Alaska waiting for Salmon at smaller falls.

I know it would be hard to draw but you get a bigger thrill if it drops away in the dark of the tunnel.

It’s dangerous to go over Niagara Falls not because it’s especially high;but because the landing field below is solid stalagmite.
