Stef is being very obnoxious but she does have a bit of a point. Why doesn’t Tiff get herself back in cheerleader shape? At 19, your metabolism is super high..it’s way easier to be in good shape. It’s clear that she likes to have to the perfect tan and is very body conscious..why wouldn’t she put in a little more effort to get herself back in EYEZ Of ZEYE shape?

This is one of those rare times that I don’t feel “sorry” for Tiffany.

Tiff had plenty of time since the end of last semester, to make arrangements to get a new roommate.

Or better yet, go back to that private room, even if it meant forgoing the Maui trip and using that money to help pay for it.

OTOH, some would argue that by moving to another room, Tiff I would be letting Stef “win.” And there would also be the possibility that by a getting a new “roomie,” that roomie would be WORSE.

But Stef is “winning” now. And the “old” Tiff would not take Stef’s “abuse” without striking back.

More importantly, “old” Tiff certainly wouldn’t be enabling Stef every time she whines.

I miss the “old” Tiffany.

Poor Tiffany, she spent years training continuously for a slim body before relaxing and finally being happy with her natural body. Now she has to stand a roommate that just isn’t able to understand how happier she is without having to constantly check how much she eats or spending hours every day in the gym. But given how she treat Luann in the past, this could be called karma.

Stef doesn’t seem to realize how close she is to being murdered by her roommate right now.

Gonna be a lot of whining about “fat-shaming” now. But really, why would anyone say anything? It’s her own business.

I’m sure it won’t happen, but what I’d to see happen at the end of this week is for Kip to show up after their summer vacation/separation with a new and prettier, shapelier, more down to earth and not obnoxious girl friend, and tell that superficial “Queen of Smarm” go take a flying fart.

Maybe under her baggy clothes, Stef looks sculpted? Would love to see Stef’s jaw drop if Tiffany reveals that she is in fantastic shape.

All this obsession with these ladies’ bodies and how hot they or not is not fair to female readers who have been reading this comic since LuAnn was a child. Let’s see some men who are supposed to be hot and in shape and let us critique their abs and chests and limberness and how they should dress and pose themselves and how great they might look in certain positions and during certain activities.

Weight maintenance is not for others. It’s for good health. Everyone moans about high healthcare costs, but they are high because people don’t take care of themselves. Bad habits start when a person is young. Most onset diabetes is due to overweight, and many times can be reversed with weight loss. That’s just one example of an avoidable health risk.

Move on!

I agree with lunapeachie in that Tiff isn’t overweight. Drop that luau skirt off her & she would look just fine.

The saddest thing about this comment section is the people assuming that Tiffany is unhealthy or unhappy based on the way she looks, which is how she is being DRAWN by an artist. Because if this is their knee-JERK reaction to this fictional character, I can only imagine the judgment, snippy comments and outright disrespect the real women in their lives and environments must have to deal with from them.

The old argument again. Seriously? I thought body shaming went out twenty years ago. Some people tend to look better with a few added pounds. I’m one of them. Yes, there are plenty of people who do find that attractive. Again, I’m one of them. If one is happy with the way they look, then that’s the person to please the most. #@%$ everyone else and their opinions.

Too much emphasis is placed upon OTHER peoples’ ideas of fitness and beauty. Tiff is pretty enough. If she is comfortable, and has no real health issues, then the OTHER people need to adjust their predjudice for her, rather than she needs to conform to theirs. Same goes for RL.

How retro of Stef. Smile and be pretty. Show off your ass-ets. Men only “love” you for your body. Don’t worry about cluttering up your brain with learning. College is where you get your MRS degree. She’ll make a great playboy bunny/trophy wife to some gross old geezer who made a fortune off cheating people/laundering money/selling time shares.

Tiffany, on the other hand, will make her own money, be CEO of her own company, make her own life decisions, and marry for love.

Those two are turning more and more into Cheryl Blossom and Veronica Lodge every time I see them. No shame in being inspired by the best.

Here’s a thought..if Tif were a real person, it’d be none of our business. If she wants a different kind of body, it’s her choice. If she wants to be kind and not judge herself by what she sees in the mirror anymore, that’s fine, too. At some point this strange notion that you need to be like Stef to get people to see you, like you or even marry you will finally be laid to rest. Let’s move out of Barbie World.

I should know. My entire childhood was spent being picked on for being overweight, especially by family members that I had to live with. It was a big family, and they thought shaming me would motivate me to lose the weight.

Here’s the thing… I’m in my fifties now, and I’m still shaped like a pear. But I’ve learned to love myself, and most of the clothes I wear, I’ve had for many years and they (like myself) still look good. As for my family members… most of them have died from various forms of cancer and diabetes.

Sad, and yet ironic.

Hate having to admit it, but Stef has got your number on this matter, Tiff….

I think what some people are forgetting is that, if it’s not your body, you need to sit down and shut up. Period. Grown adults reading comics and then trashing the writing on a daily basis. No other hobbies?
